Highlights
  • Hassle-free transportation to Loch Ness aboard an air-conditioned coach
  • See Loch Ness from the shore, and from the water on a cruise
  • Explore Urquhart Castle and gain a deeper understanding of Scottish history
  • Convenient pickup and drop-off from Inverness city center
What to Expect
Your tour begins with a pickup from central Inverness. Settle into the air-conditioned coach as it travels out of the city and into the surrounding countryside. Enjoy enlightening and entertaining commentary from your guide throughout the tour. Upon arrival at the pier, board the cruise boat and take in the sweeping views as you cross the still waters of Loch Ness toward the romantic ruins of Urquhart Castle. Keep your eyes peeled for "Nessie," the fabled Loch Ness Monster, along the way. Enjoy free time to tour the crumbled castle that, in its 500-year-long role as a medieval fortress, has a long and bloody history. Learn about King Edward I’s invasion in the 13th century, its importance during the 14th-century Wars of Scottish Independence, and multiple raids during the 15th and 16th centuries. Snap photos of the Highland vista from the castle before reboarding the coach for the return journey. Your tour concludes back at the original departure point.

Informative tour of the Loch with time to explore the castle ruins and visitor centre. While ok for people with limited mobility there are a lot of stairs at the castle if wanting to see everything. Central meeting point great if no car

We wanted to go to Urquhart Castle and the boat trip on Loch Ness was really secondary, but turned out to be our favourite part. The loch is not a commercial fantasy land as we were afraid, but spectacular unspoiled scenery. Exceptionally comfortable and well appointed

I would give 3.7 stars. The bus station was so busy but then they did not have any sign to see where can be the stop of Jacobite's bus. The driver and the guide is nice and helpful. But then again it was hard to find the sign to the bus going back to Inverness from Urquhart

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your valuable feedback. We do have a ticket office inside the bus station where our colleague would have been more than happy to direct you to the right stop and our Driver Guide's usually give an explanation of where to find them upon pick up from the castle. We will be sure to take all your comments on board. Thank you for touring with us, we hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit to Scotland.
