Incredible tour - really worthy!
Sep 2021
Amazing tour! It is a great peak into the Highlands, if you do not have a lot of time to spend on your trip. The amount of stops and time spent in each felt appropriate for such a long bus trip and our tour guide, Callum, was also really fun and informative. The landscapes were absolutelly amazing and memorable! My Partner and I enjoyed it so much and thought it was definitely worth the money.

Amazing views and History of the Highlands
We both done this tour on Monday 20th September and Andrew was our driver. This trip was great and really brought an insight into Scotland’s troubled history and the scenery was amazing. I would say for people to go on this trip and book through this company. Andrews knowledge was fantastic and his jokey comments made our day. Well done Timberbush a credit to Scotland and I’m sure we will be back for the longer tours. Thank you Peter & Chris , Plymouth

Best tour guide
Was a long day, but never boring, Callum our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was funny and kept us all entertained. Some other people on the tour were loud and generally a nuisance but was calm and professional all the way through. Much respect. Highly recommend this tour thank you so much Cal

Disappointing Experience!!!
Jul 2021 • Friends
Disappointing - the tour is not what I expected. About 80% of the time was us sitting on the coach, being on the road and having a drive-through at those specified destinations.

Throughout the whole journey, there was a total of 5 stops at the following places:

1. Loch Lomond (15minutes break for coffee and toilet break) - This was one of the most beautiful attraction in Scotland, yet we weren’t given enough time at all to look around; to take pictures and to enjoy the scenery.
2. Glencoe (5minutes pit stop on the side of the road) - Another beautiful attraction yet we had only 5 minutes to go outside of the coach to take pictures of the highland at the side of the road. Most of the time, you will be observing from inside the coach as you bypass the scenery. [Don’t expect to be stopping at Fort Augustus town as this will only be a drive through.]
3. Fort William ( 40minutes Lunch Break) - We arrived at 11:20 and had to depart there at 12:10pm. A small and remote place, not much to see and do. It was early so some places weren’t serving hot meals/ lunch. There is a Spar convenience store and a small restaurant serving soup and sandwiches only.
4. Loch Ness (1hr + 40mins stop) - we arrived here at 1:20PM, our cruise starts at 2PM until 2:50PM, and our departure time was at 3PM. The Jacobite cruise journey was only up to the Urquhart Castle before it made a return to the pier. It was a pleasant cruising experience although I would prefer if it travelled further on the Loch.
5. Pitlochry Town (40minutes pit stop) - we arrived here at 5:10PM after being on the motorway for 2hrs from Loch Ness. The town is small and most things were closed at 5PM. So there’s not much to do besides buying a few ice cream/souvenirs. You would have to pay to use their public toilet so make sure you have some coins. [By the way, don’t expect to be stopping at Inverness town as this will only be a drive through.]

Overall experience:
* Not enough time to experience the scenery and being outdoor at the main scenic attractions
* Too much unnecessary time at the lunch venue and at Pitlochry town
* Most of the time will be spent on the road and driving-through most destinations
* We finished the tour at 7:30pm even though the trip to Urquhart Castle was cancelled. (Although other tour group companies still managed to go to this castle)

Would have preferred:
* NOT stopping at Pitlochry town at all especially when most things shut at 5PM
* More time spent at Loch Lomond and at Glencoe Highlands
* Better lunch spot venue that opens for service
* To not finish early and to use that extra time to spend on other scenic areas
* Return route to be the same as our starting route

Hi Annoynm, I’m very sorry you didn’t enjoy your Loch Ness tour as much as you had hoped. This tour is a long day at 12 hours; it travels as far north as Inverness, and for this reason, we aren’t able to stop at each stop as long as we would like to, but we do try to make this tour as fulfilling as possible to every passenger, which is why we receive so many 5* reviews for it. I can appreciate you would’ve liked to stop longer at Loch Lomond, for example, but I must stress this tour does not focus on Loch Lomond and for this reason we have a 1 day Loch Lomond tour which spends plenty of time at the beautiful loch – and for good reason, it’s stunning! We take every precaution to make sure we communicate time spent at stops and the itinerary of the tour to customers. At no point do we mention stops at Fort Augustus, Inverness, or lengthy stops at Loch Lomond; all of which you've mentioned. I'm sorry you felt otherwise. Urquhart Castle is currently only open to very small numbers. To be fair to all of our customers, we have removed this from our itinerary until we are able to fairly offer this experience to everyone and not only 6 people. I'm sorry you felt this was a detriment. Overall, we are trying our best to make this tour one to remember. I'm just sorry you expected more from an already very action-packed day. Regards, Amy

Generally great
Generally great,
Comfortable seat, everything was good, If you’re interested in enjoying different sightseeing without walking all day, this trip will guarantee that for you.

Small note: it would be better if we could at least spend an hour and half in each stop point.

Thank you

Hi Nawal, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your day, thought it was a great tour, and enjoyed the sights too! I'm sorry it wasnt a 4 or 5* experience for you. Believe me, if we could spend an hour and a half in every place we stop, we certainly would! But that would turn a 12.5hr tour into a 2am finish. The tour is a great way to experience the Highlands in one day, but for those who want a more in-depth tour, we offer 2-5 day tours too. Best wishes, Amy

We had the most amazing experience today! Our tour guide Andy was brilliant, he was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We made memories we will never forget! I would recommend booking the boat trip at Loch Ness, we booked this the day before and really made it special! The views along the way were incredible and all the stops were well thought of! I would definitely recommend this trip, excellent value for money!

Its a long and tiring tour however the bus is very comfortable and punctual. It sure could use more stop but then it will be very late to reach back Glasgow. The stops are well thought off. The tour guides are good and so are the chauffers.

Very long day spent mostly in the bus
Aug 2020
It was a very long day with very little stops along the way. The scenery is beautiful of course but we could have stopped in much more beautiful spots and had a bit more time in them especially when we got to Loch Ness. This trip would have been much better if it's spread across 2 days, as we ended up spending the majority of our time in he bus.

Hello, I am sorry to hear that you felt you spent too much time on the coach during your tour. This tour is our most demanding, with over 12 hours of touring in all, and for this reason we make sure we include this on our website and brochure. Our Reservations Team is always on hand for any customer queries before joining. Due to the tour covering much of the Country, we are unable to stop and view all of the beautiful scenery on the tour route. However, we do try to make sure that the stops the tour does make are as long as possible. The stop at Loch Ness is roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes long but I am sorry if you felt that was not long enough. We do offer a two-day Loch Ness, Inverness and the Highlands tour from Glasgow which may have been more suitable for you and, should you visit Scotland again in the future, our Reservations team would be more than happy to answer any questions you have regarding our multi-day tours. Kind Regards, Anna
