Best of Scotland in a Day Small Group Tour from Edinburgh
US$55.58
Overview
The Highlands offer some of Scotland’s most spectacular landscapes, with historic castles and shimmering lochs hidden in the hills. On this full-day tour, reach top Highlands attractions including Blair Castle, Dunkeld Cathedral, and Killiecrankie Gorge with ease, with plenty of time to tour the sites and admire the scenery on foot. Enjoy personal attention from your guide on this small-group tour, limited to 16 people.
What to Expect
After meeting your guide in central Edinburgh, travel by air-conditioned mini-coach into the Highlands, enjoying sweeping views of Loch Leven.

First, visit the village of Dunkeld to see top attractions including Dunkeld Cathedral. Tour the narrow streets, and gain insight into centuries of Scottish heritage.

Head next to Blair Castle, a 13th-century fortress with a 700-year history spanning the Jacobite rebellions and the reign of Mary Queen of Scots.

After lunch at the castle restaurant (own expense), take Perthshire sites such as Castle Menzies, Killiecrankie Gorge, Tummel Bridge, and Schiehallion—one of the region’s many peaks. Take some time to explore by foot, soaking up the atmosphere in the heat of the Highlands.

Then follow the flow of the Tay River through the charming village of Aberfeldy, and round off your day with a relaxing riverside stroll. Afterward, return in comfort to central Edinburgh to conclude your sightseeing tour.

There are windy roads, probably a good hour of it. I took both Dramamine and Bonine and was OK.
