Journey into the Scottish Highlands—famed for their picturesque hills, many lakes, and centuries of history—and then onwards to the Isle of Skye on this 3-day tour from Edinburgh. A small group size makes this a personal way to discover, and with round-trip transit from London via luxury coach, you can focus on admiring the scenery instead of navigating your own way through the countryside.

What to Expect

This 3-day adventure in the Scottish Highlands begins when you meet your guide at a convenient location in Edinburgh and set off via luxurious Mercedes coach. With only a small group of fellow travelers for company, you’ll enjoy a personal discovery tour of the area’s unique landscapes and rich history.

During the first day, make your way up to Portree, the Isle of Skye’s largest town. En route, you’ll see the historic city of Stirling, Ben Nevis (Britain’s highest peak), and the hills and waterfalls of Glencoe. Enjoy time at your leisure to explore Portree in the evening before a night at a B&B or 3-star hotel—whatever your preference.

On the second day, embark on a fully guided tour of the Isle of Skye’s highlights. Depending on the weather, visit the 13th-century Dunvegan Castle, the rugged rock formations of Quiraing, or the sea cliffs at Neist Point, among other destinations.

After a second night in Portree, you’ll slowly make your way back to Edinburgh on the third day, with plenty of sightseeing opportunities as you go. Pause at Loch Ness to see if you can spot Nessie (its sea monster), and admire the wild Grampian Mountains. The tour ends in the early evening, upon your return to Edinburgh.

Needs less breaks, more time at destinations.

The tour was ok. The guide was fine. It was well organized. I guess that I felt it was really overpriced for what you get- basically just a ride around to Skye and back. Mainly Scottish music with some commentary interludes. I suppose I was...More

Hi there, We do need to make sure that everyone is comfortable, so making regular bathroom and refreshment breaks is obviously very important. There should be some balance though and there should still be plenty of time for visits/walks/photos along the way. We're sorry to...More

I believe there is a highland whisky tour. On the Skye toir your we drove by a distillery, and one of the coffee stops had a whisky taste and purchase place. Not an actual distillery stop on the Skye tour.
