Overview
If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, this tandem skydiving experience in Salisbury is right up your alley. First, choose from a 10,000 foot (3048- or 4572-meter) drop, which will either last 30 seconds. Then, travel up in the air as you take in sights of the Wiltshire countryside, the Isle of Wight, and Stonehenge. Once you’re ready, jump with an instructor, and fall at a heart-pumping 120 mph (193 kmh). Plus, walk away from your experience with a tandem skydiving certificate of completion.
What to Expect
Meet at the Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury a little before the time you booked your experience for. First, get the rundown of what the experience will be like, and get suited up in a jumpsuit and harness. Under the supervision of an instructor, practice the free fall and a few landing positions.
Then, it’s time to head to your plane for your flight up. On the way, you can catch aerial sights of the Wiltshire countryside, the Isle of Wight, and Stonehenge. Once you’ve reached the height needed for your drop, you and your instructor move together toward the plane’s door. When you’re ready, jump with your instructor, and experience the free fall at about 120 mph (193 kmh).
Your instructor gets you both prepared for your landing by opening a parachute. The parachute slows you down for your landing. After you land, walk away from your experience with a tandem skydiving completion certificate and a smile.
