2-hour East London Walking Tour: Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane, and Shoreditch

Select Date and Travelers
2 travelers
Join this walking group tour to discover the London you won't find in the guidebooks. Travel to the heart of the vibrant East End with a local guide to explore the past and present of the capital's cultural and creative hub on this 2-hour tour. Choose from one of two departure times when you book.
  • Learn about the history of London’s vibrant East End
  • Tour three must-see areas: Spitalfields, Shoreditch, and Brick Lane
  • Skip the overcrowded landmarks and discover London’s local side
  • Go on a street art tour and spot pieces from international artists
What to Expect
Your afternoon tour kicks off near the conveniently located Liverpool Street Station. Meet your guide and head to your first stop: Spitalfields Market. Traders have been operating on this market site for hundreds of years. Today, it’s home to clothing stalls, stylish boutiques, and some of East London’s most in-demand restaurants. Then, visit Brick Lane: an always-bustling area that is home to a large Bengali community as well as artists, street food markets, and independent shops and galleries. The tour continues through Shoreditch, which remains one of the city’s most vibrant and creative districts. As you go, learn about the area’s history and discover the abundant street art. Your guide will point out ephemeral works by international artists. The walking tour ends when you return to your original departure point.

Well paced and varied. Josh's perspective was thought-provoking and refreshing. I've been waiting for 9 years to go on this tour - it didn't disappoint. It was the best tour value on this trip.

The guide was very informative, a lot more to graffiti than I had realised. Would definitely do this tour again.

Thank you Gregory for a fascinating insight into Londons street art. My sister and I discovered a whole new understanding, appreciation and respect for this art form. We learnt so much and fully recommend this experience.

Alternative means an alternative view or perspective than the norm, which is certainly the view you get when you see things through the eyes of a former graffiti artist.

They are quite flexible with tour dates - I couldn't go on the original date I booked and emailed them, and could change it no problem
