- 351annieb0 contributionsGreat views of London landmarksAn enjoyable experience despite it being a murky drizzly day. We arrived early with fast track timed tickets and there was no problem at all gaining early access The ‘car’ was spacious enough to move around, view the surroundings and take photos . However , the commentary was patchy and not particularly audible. Incredible views of London despite the poor weather conditions The price was, I thought very expensive for this experienceWritten March 17, 2024
- M Anji S0 contributionsNo surprises. We purchased a fast track ticket for the family ahead of time. The weather wasn’t great so we would have been fine with a regular ticket that day. The “bubble” we were in had about 10 other people in it but there was still enough room to walk around. It moves around slow enough so everyone can take whatever pictures they would like. Worth doing once but I wouldn’t need to do it again on a future visit.Written March 17, 2024
- Adventure589069842340 contributionsGreat experience4.5 rather than just 4. Really good, very much enjoyed it. Last went on something like 15 years ago so this felt like a new experience. We booked it through our Merlin annual passes. Unbeknownst to us, this entitled us to fast track entrance so was a nice surprise when we turned up and pretty much boarded straightaway (the regular queue looked quite long but I don’t think it was too bad). Only reason I knocked half a star off is because the curved glass at either end of the pods is a little headache-inducing and distorts your photos. Bit late to do anything about that now but wish that was thought of when designing it.Written March 16, 2024

Gives a different perspective of the city from the water and our guide who gave us the commentary.. David was interactive, enthusiastic and gave a few jokes which made it light hearted and entertaining. You can grab a wine, beer or a coffee in the kiosk on the lower level and watch it all go by! We came down to London to stay for two days and to meet family. As we were staying at the Royal Docklands we didnt particularly want to see the centre of London even thought it was very quiet, but we thought we would do the Eye with the river cruise. We thoroughly enjoyed the river cruise, it was very informative and we were entertained by the guide, think he was called AJ, he should be on the stage, he is a born entertainer, can highly recommend this cruise.

Great staff and great activities. My daughter is a full time wheelchair user and the staff and organisation- and helpfulness of staff was second to none. We had no issues and they all did their very best to support us. Usually I worry about taking my daughter to these type of things but I have to say I need not have worried/ if you’re a wheelchair user or a member of your party is- I recommend this

Beautiful views of the city from the London Eye, it is so beautiful to see everything from up there that time inside the capsule flies by. The movement of the Ferris wheel is almost undetectable, so if you suffer from vertigo you can't feel it. Point against the price of the photos, they take beautiful photos of you inside the capsule and at the time of charging them, a photo comes out almost as the value from the entrance, that seemed a bit excessive

Absolutely fantastic experience and a good price too. The river cruise was made even better by jack ( tour guide) who has the same sense of humour as me. He really did make the trip funny, but most of all he knew his stuff and was very knowledgeable about the city’s history.
Booking a slot for the London eye proved a little tricky, as the web site didn’t recognise my booking number. I had to go to the pier and chat with the booking agents who booked the a slot. Luckily it wasn’t too bad as there were lots of slots available.
All covid 19 restrictions followed and all staff wore masks at all times.
Fantastic glad I booked this trip, would definitely recommend it.

The river cruise was quite short but very enjoyable. The boat had an upper deck which was open but we chose to sit on the lower one and away from the cold. The tour guide, Vicky was excellent, very passionate, knowledgeable and funny as well so she really made the tour interesting for us as residents in London. The London Eye was great, got a sunset view and because of Covid had a lot of space in the booth to take pictures and relax. The photo at the end is £20 which I found ridiculous as they could make more money by charging less per photo. Overall however it was a great experience and a lucky sunny day out for me and my husband.

We did the boat trip first which was superb. We were lucky and the weather was amazing. Jordon the compare was great, very informative with some suspect jokes :-) It went a lot further down the river than I expected and took about 40 minutes. It left and returned on time which was awesome. I'd recommend being at least 15-20 minutes early if you want a seat on the side of the boat.
We booked an 11:45 boat trip and a 12:45 London Eye flight (as they call it). I think we must have been lucky as the call centre said we would be about 45 minutes in the queue, but for us on the 18th October is was just 15 minutes and we were on. We were going to purchase the fast track option but it wasn't necessary.
Due to the weather the views were astounding. We thought about going up the Shard but after this we decided it wasn't worth it.
The gift shop prices were reasonable as well which was good.
Highly recommended.

The River Cruise was fabulous!! The weather was not the best, it was the coldest, windiest, sleetiest April day BUT we made the most of it and sat on the top deck to maximise the views and feel the experience!
(Along with 20 other daft people) :)
It was funny and VERY cold with ‘Liam’ the tour guide making the best of the rubbish weather and brightening everyone’s time. He was funny, extremely knowledgeable and definitely made the experience what it was.
The views of historic artefact's are fantastic from the boat and the facts are a bonus for any future pub quiz.
I would recommend it to any age traveller as it’s a great activity in the heart of London at a decent cost.
Thankyou to Captain, crew and especially Liam for finishing our 18th birthday London trip with a smile!
A+++

Although I'm giving this 1 star to highlight the awfulness of the online booking website, the experience itself, staff helpfulness, efficiency, etc would otherwise rate 4 stars.
I wanted to book 1 adult carer, 2 other adults and a child for the combined London Eye/River Cruise.
Firstly, it is extremely difficult to find the link to book a carer's ticket. Once found, you have to book it on a special web page. Then the 'Continue Booking' button, instead of continuing the existing booking (in this case the Eye/Cruise) takes you back to the start. This confused me and I ended up booking and paying for 2 adults and a child on the Eye only. There is no option on the site to cancel or amend the type of booking, and tickets are supposedly non-refundable.
I got no response on the Chat Line, but after 20 minutes waiting on the phone, I got through to a very helpful lady who cancelled the booking but said I had to email the new booking reference in order to get a refund. This was OK by me.
So I went back and redid the booking. You have to book the cruise time, then pay for the combined ticket, and only then can you continue to book the Eye. I'd booked the cruise for 11:45, and wanted the Eye for 15:00. However, the first time slot I was offered was 17:45 the next day!!
Just what use is this? We were only in London for the day. I had just paid over £120 for a combined Cruise/Eye, only to find it was useless, and the tickets are non-refundable. So another 20 minutes on the phone. Apparently only a limited number of Eye slots are offered with a combined ticket (why?), but again a helpful lady booked us on for 15:00.
Finally, I discovered that there is no email address to send the new booking ref for the refund, so another 20 minutes was spent sorting it out on the phone, which was done with no problems once I'd got through.
In the event, the day was very enjoyable, and everything went extremely smoothly. As I say, I have no complaints on that score at all, and even the 20 minute waits on the phone line were acceptable given current circumstances.
But the website is a shambles. It is quite unbelievable and totally unacceptable that customers should be expected to pay in advance without being sure that their requirements would be met. Most purchasers of a combined ticket would want to be able to do both in within a single day, and it is not unreasonable for them to expect you to provide that. At least leave the final confirmation and payment until everything is complete!!

We went, with my mother, to the 12 30 monday 9 of march. I wanted to leave a review because the guide, Cheryl (Sherry? I didnt quite catch her name, sorry) was extremely knowledgeable, peppering interesting facts and funny jokes in between. She made a 40 minute ride feel short and sweet even with the cold wind blowing and the language limitations of some of the passengers. She made the cruise unforgettable. Thank you!!!

We booked the London Eye and the accompanying river cruise as a treat for my birthday and we were not disappointed. I have been on the London Eye twice before but the views are incredible, particularly if it’s a clear day, and my partner and my parents had never been on so it was definitely worth a repeat visit for me.
Covid measures were followed and the queues/security checks moved quickly and were well-organised.
The river cruise was brilliant, I have never done it before but it was a fantastic new perspective from which to see London. Our guide, Mick, was brilliant and so funny, even if I think a couple of his jokes came out of a Christmas cracker! He was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of info about the landmarks we were seeing, but it was very engaging and interesting to listen along to.

I see options for standard tickets, but I’m interested in the Fasttrack ticket. Are we able to exchange/upgrade tickets somewhere?
I would like to do the London Eye first and then the cruise second. Do the tickets get sent separately, or do I need to check into the cruise to then receive my London Eye tickets?
Also would like to verify that both the cruises and Eye are running on Easter and the Monday holiday?
Thank you.

You can upgrade when you arrive (get there a a little earlier), but the queue moves very quickly so the fast track option is not really necessary. We did the Eye first and then the cruise and were issued with 2 sets of tickets. It is open all the year round, apart from Christmas.

Usually a career can go free, but it would be best to call and talk to them. They may be able to offer extra support e.g fast track.
Take name and details of whoever you do speak to and ask if they can email you a confirmation of what ever was agreed. The eye can get extremely busy, having info ready saves a lot of time.
Hope you enjoy your trip.

You’ll have to have a look online as you can book dates ahead. Just go straight to December and see if the dates are available to book. I’m pretty sure it’s not open though, but I could be wrong.

You can order online, but the ticket office (when you get to the eye) requires a paper copy. I had forgotten my copy at the hotel and they told me they couldn’t read the QR code from my phone. I had to send my ticket to the email they provided and I stood in line while they went to retrieve it.
