    Underwhelmed
Underwhelmed and forgettable musicial. Felt like an outdated touring production, didn't have the excitement or innovation of a lot of new musicials.

    Okay, but disappointing
Okay music, poor casting and a lack of continuity to the film. Music - it’s a very cheesy, camp style of song which you can tell immediately is written by Elton John. Poor rhyming tied with innuendo and okay music made the songs Casting - two characters I thought cast perfectly were Emily and Nigel. Emily was absolutely mesmerising as a performer and deserved a greater part in the show. Nigel also was cast really well, nailing some iconic lines. I was disappointed with the casting of Andy - it felt forced. It was also obvious she was a Brit putting on an American accent, which was a shame. Most importantly, the casting of Vanessa Williams as Miranda was lacklustre at best. Whilst holding gravitas, Williams didn’t have the softness that Merck Streep does when delivering lines. Moreover, I thought Williams gave the character some humanity, which typically would be a good thing, except for the role of Miranda Priestly. The coldness and lack of humanity is what makes Miranda, Miranda. Film continuity - as a big fan of the film, watching it well over 25 times, I was shocked at how many continuity errors there were between the film and the show. For example, in the movie, Andy has an appointment with Sherrie in HR - in the show, they called her Sharon. In the movie, Andy picks up the design from James Holt after her Vogue montage, in the show they do it before. This is a small sample of a bunch of continuity errors that made it difficult to watch as a fan of the show. Overall, whilst an okay trip to the Dominion, not one I’d choose to go back and see again.

    Must see, fantastic show
What a fantastic show. Something different to our norm, we usually see a musical when we’re in the west end but wow we’re so glad we saw this. Immersive show and the cast were incredible. If you’re a fan of stranger things this is a must see.

    Underwhelming
One of the worst shows I’ve ever seen. The cast did a great job but the material is so weak and dull. Not one catchy song. Such a shame.

    Marvelous show
A fabulous show. The acting and singing was superb. A great west end theatre experience. We arrived in London early, had pre-show dinner before and had a great time.

Well i dont know what to say other than what an absolute waste of money and time , truely was terrible , £180 down the drain ,even if i only paid £100 would of been gutted , awful experiance , the staff at adelphi theatre are also very rude and treat you like an animal , would seriously not recomnend this to my worst enemy , ruined my partners birthday , show is boring as hell , the songs are like torture and the story line is abysmal , its put me of ever going to the theatre again ,such as shame we were really lookibg foward to a good night😫

It’s okay just don’t spend a lot on tickets
Love the film so I went to go and see the musical and it follows the script very closely. The acting is great and the costumes are cool but the songs themselves are actually very forgetful and not that impressive which was disappointing. The set design is good and the way they flow between scenes but the first half felt long and slow and the second half very quick. No big banger songs and I’ve genuinely forgotten them all and I only left the theatre an hour ago! Cool to see Vanessa on stage but doesn’t touch Meryl Streep’s Miranda. I just saw Wilhelmina Slater on stage the whole time if I’m honest. Emily’s character is ace and so is Nigel’s. I found Andy really annoying but I think that was her songs more than anything.

    Terrible Show
I must have been watching something different as, honestly, this was the worst show I have seen and I have seen a few. Our friend even fell asleep in the first half it was so boring ! The second half was mildly better - would have been better without the singing !

Fun night out. Music was a letdown.
Dazzling and crisp visually. Beautiful costumes with a few odd cheap ones thrown in for good measure. Set design was very good minus two huge rectangular openings in the floor everyone had to avoid! Contained lighting and sound. Must have been a nightmare for the choreographer. Very talented cast. Vanessa was very good but Emily stole the show.

    Amazing!
What an absolutely brilliant show. Great production, amazing acting and the singing well, you had to hear it to believe it. The actress playing the part of TT had her down to a T both vocally and behaviourally. Thoroughly recommend it.

AMAZING! Run, don't walk! BOOK IT!
Oh my god!!!!! You HAVE to see this musical. I have watched the film around 10,890 times so I wasn't sure how it was going to go... well, what a more than pleasant surprise!! Performance was 10/10 every single person impeccable! The outfits and singers and music generally, just amazing!!! Great to be at the Dominion too! Lovely Theatre 🫶🏼

    Missable. That's All.
One of the most forgettable musicals I've ever seen. I saw the previews in Plymouth, and had hoped it would be better after the London transfer. It was not. -Strange musical choices (why is Andie, the shyer character, always belting in a high key, giving musical confidence that majorly contrasts with her personality?) -Forgettable songs. So very forgettable. I saw it yesterday, I've seen it twice, and I can remember maybe 1.5 tunes. -Haaaate some of the lyrics! Why are we rhyming De nada and Devil wears prada in rhyming couplets in the titular song, is this a GCSE project? Be so for real, so lame. -Miranda has limited stage presence, and has a terribly lacklustre introduction song! -The fashion choices are terrible. Runway would never. Why is Miranda wearing SHERBET LEMON in the intro to Paris scene when everyone else is in beautifully saturated and vibrant tones? It's just not giving. Of course, cast are wonderfully talented and the sets are nice. That's about it.

    Fantastic experience
Wow what a performance! Entertainment with really attitude and plenty of humour thrown in. Tickets were expensive but we definitely had value for money. The only minor frustration was that we seemed unable to order drinks using the QR codes offered. Fantastic show either way!

Moulin Rouge-Just As Good As The First Time
This is my 2nd visit to Moulin Rouge in The West End & it’s just as good as my first trip back in early 2022. From the moment you walk to your seats you know you are in for something very special as the whole decoration & detail is as if you are stepping into “The” Moulin Rouge. The cast are breathtaking. Story telling through words & music are magical. The scenery & staging is just phenomenal. Make sure you get to your seat in plenty of time as the pre-show is pretty cool & not to be missed. It’s been on for two years now & hopefully many more to come. Bravo to everyone involved.

    Boring and cheap
I mistakenly checked the reviews for the West End version and thought this would be similar. I love a musical but this was extremely budget with hammy acting and absolutely no pace. The set design was terrible and, for nearly the entire show, there were budget computer generated images of Santas and elves dancing. One of the musicians in the orchestra was constantly on their phone too which was pretty distracting. I really wanted to leave in the interval but didn't want to voice my thoughts to my family incase they were enjoying it. Really boring.

We had read carefully a 2 page full synopsis beforehand which was fairly difficult too follow. Good job because without this there were many parts of the plot not well executed during the show and difficult to follow. The story line required much to much spoken dialogue to attempt to deliver the plot. The songs in this show are pretty poor, with only the odd exception. ( Wonderful by the Wizard , except that this had overtones of Mr Cellophane from another much better show). The songs are not easy too sing, so felt a little sorry for the two lead female singers who deserve better to show their talents. We thought Prince Flyero overall was a little lightweight and seemed to struggle in his duet with Glinda in Act 2.
The transformation of Boq into the Tin Man was underwhelming and then just petered out. Some of the stage props / scenery were pointless and added nothing to the show. The large Dragon above the arch flashed red eyes a couple of times, and shook its head around to no real apparent purpose or strong relationship to what was going on on the stage. The large cog wheels on either side of the stage moved in an out occasionally but what they had to do with the storyline was beyond us.
In our opinion this is a relatively poor show and much over-hyped. A severe prunning of the script, the addition of 5 or 6 memorable songs (we will be surprised if you remember many of the present ones), and a running time reduced by at least 1/2 hour from its present 2 hours 45 mins might make it more acceptable.

Amazzzing, fantastic? Er no, this is just a silly pantomine . The cast were really poor, worthy of some second rate provincial theatre but not a major London theatre charging London prices for the tickets. They could not sing correctly, all the songs were sung in the pop culture method of screechy wails, with little or no ability to hit a high note. The sound quality is so poor and diction so bad I could no hear what was being said alot of the time. There were good creative costumns mainly for the supporting cast, rather than the main characters. and of course there was a predictable princess ballgown look for the good witch. The lightening effects were good but not consitently used. The audience consisted of hundreds of school children for what purpose I could not fathom out, it certainly could not have been for educational reasons. Although the venue booking conditions say children under 18 have to be with an adult , the teachers sat in a different part of the theatre away from their irritating charges so did not stop the constant movement in and out of the auditorium by children .

Still one of my all time favourites took some people that had never been to see it before and everyone loved it. The songs are brilliant and has some amazing costumes. I would certainly recommend a trip to see it if you’ve never been

This was an incredible show in a fantastic theatre. The production was so good and we thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Snacks and drinks were very expensive which is not surprising for London, but the service was quick and friendly and there's an online ordering service which is very handy.

As always the show was great amazing performances this was second time seeing it. only real downside is theatre staff keep walking about during performances and allow doors to bars to slam behind them. also seating people after the show had started rather than make them wait to be seated because they can't figure out to be at the show in time

Not the best musical I’ve seen by a long shot. The scenery, lighting and costumes were what held a rather poor plot together. The performers did their best but the sound was wrong and some songs you could only hear the music not the words. Other songs were really loud. Very strange! The songs are all a bit the same - too many screechy duets in my opinion. Not enough dancing - there were obviously some great dancers in the cast but there was very little opportunity for them to showcase their skill. We all enjoyed it, but wouldn’t bother again. Not the best and definitely not one we’d see as a touring production, as without the set and lighting it would have been dull.

I wanted to love it, but I didn't. The production value is good but the rest of the show is lacklustre. The story is boring and super childish. The songs are quite bland and sound quality in the theatre was quite poor. I had read reviews before going and appreciate that a lot of people like this show but I wish I had seen reviews that had a different opinion so I could maybe consider whether the show is for me or not.

Just to caveat, I love musicals and have seen several shows in London (I loved Hamilton and the book of Mormon - because they had songs you want to listen to over and over again). I also live the Wizard of Oz story. Everything indicated that this was a good show that I would enjoy.

Wicked is mediocre at best. If you are interested in going, read more reviews and maybe listen to some song snippets online before deciding. Maybe it can save you a few pounds on tickets and a good 3-4 hours wasted.

Honestly, I wanted to leave at half time. My friend, who I dragged to this snooze fest, asked me very sheepishly at half time if this is how musicals are usually in London. She also said she thought it would be different, better - she had never been to a musical before and I wanted to give her a London musical experience. I felt so bad wasting her time and her money by making her sit through this.

I think if you have kids it's ok. They might enjoy it. As an adult though, the story seems stupid at time, with obvious gaps and inconsistencies. I could go on and on but I won't.

Hopefully this helps someone!

If I could recommend one west end theatre show, it would always be this one. I went for the 5th time last night and absolutely adored it.
Lucie (elphaba) and all of the cast were fantastic. It makes me cry every time and I can never take my eyes away from the stage. Go see it!!!

Not a great experience .
We saw a good ensemble but the 3 leads that day ( Khadime,St Louis and Reid ) were in our opinion very poor. We would not return to see this show while they are the star leads. Having seen this show numerous times from Idina Menzel / Rachel Tucker/Louise Dearman/ Adam Garcia/Oliver Tompsett to name a few everyone was disappointed even my diehard fan husband.
We were a party of 10 and the children coped with the lack lustre performances but agreed that Mamma Mia ( seen the previos night ) was much better though perhaps pipped at the post bt the Palladium's Wizard of Oz ( seen in the summer).
We will now not look at seeing this again ( our go to see again show ) until the main leads change.
A disappointing early Christmas present all round.

This musical is hard to beat - especially for families (I brought my 12 year old daughter). It has everything that makes London Musicals memorable - great music, ornate costumes and characters that will make you laugh and cry! Highly recommend!
