Beatles and Sightseeing Walking Tour of Liverpool

Overview
Delve into Liverpool’s vibrant culture on a 1.5-hour Beatles and sightseeing walking tour, ideal for music lovers. Tick off top Liverpool attractions such as the decorated Mersey Ferries, the Museum of Liverpool and Maritime Museum, the 18th-century Liverpool Town Hall, and the brand new statue of Cilla Black outside of the Cavern Club, former stomping ground of The Beatles. Plus, you’ll visit spots associated with The Fab Four and watch a short Beatles documentary.
What to Expect
10:30am - The 90-minute guided walking tour starts at the fabulous new Beatles statues in front of the Mersey Ferry Terminal where your fun qualified and insured Liverpool Tour Guide will introduce you to the city and everyone else on the tour.

During this Magical History Tour you will see the lifeblood of our city with the famous River Mersey and our famous Ferry which has been painted in a dazzling design by Sir Peter Blake who designed the Sergeant Pepper Album Cover.

Next it's a fabulous 8-minute panoramic Beatles film and you'll visit the Museum of Liverpool which opened in 2011.

The tour continues passing the Billy Fury statue and the Maritime Museum to the fabulous 18th Century Liverpool Town Hall where sometimes it is possible to view the brass plaques marking the date in 1964 when the Beatles enjoyed their homecoming after their World Tour and were made Freemen of the City.

You will then see many other places were the Beatles played including the site of the Iron Door Club and you will visit the Eleanor Rigby Statue and then Mathew Street, the White Star pub and the tour finishes with the highlight of the day the brand new statue of Cilla Black outside  the Cavern Club where there is usually live music every day. (Please note that should you choose to visit the Cavern Club there are around 30 steps to the underground location and there is no disabled access and there is a small entrance charge at weekends).

During this unmissable excursion your travel tour guide will show you how Liverpool which is now the most vibrant city in the UK outside of London has been transformed and after this tour you'll have lots of ideas and suggestions from your local guide with the very best things to do for the rest of your time in Liverpool.

There are many many photo opportunities on this tour and your guide will be very happy to take photos for you or if you are in a group.

12:00 the tour finishes on Mathew Street by the Cavern Wall of fame and this is in the heart of the City Centre and you can then buy souvenirs or lunch and enjoy the fabulous new £1billion outdoor retail and leisure area called Liverpool One.

This tour has something for everyone and it is a perfect Shore excursion or Cruise Excursion as the starting point is only a few minutes walk from the Cruise Terminal.

OK but not amazing

Tour was OK. Most of the places no longer exist, so we had to imagine how it used to appear. Considering most of these places were still in existence in the last 30 years, a photo being shown at the site, would have made it...More
