What a day! Our tour guide Mark introduced us to a world of mountains and lakes, The views were spectacular, and the information Mark imparted was both interesting and educational. Mark never rushed anyone getting on and off the coach at each stop in our days journey, yet we still managed fill the day with magnificent views of the peaks and valleys of the lake district. But the highlight of the day for me, as I am an ancient history buff, was the final stop at Castlerigg stone circle. Wow! We can certainly say we'll be booking anotherMountain Goat tour on our next trip here. Thank you Mark for a day to remember!

We had a fantastic day touring the lakes. The guide/driver was extremely informative and interesting to listen to. The stops were well spread out and provided great opportunities for photos, food and drink and comfort breaks. We did this on our first day and it was a great preview to see which places we wanted to explore more during the rest of our trip. Highly recommended.

We toured the Lake District with Duncan. He was personable and very knowledgeable of the area, it’s history, geography, and famous residents. The van was comfortable and we saw much more than we could have on our own. As it was a bank holiday, the roads were very busy, so it was nice to have someone else drive. Thank you Duncan for a great day.

Our third visit to Brierholme and it definitely won’t be our last. Jonathon and Adam are superb hosts and go out of their way to ensure guests are happy. The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms have everything you would need. Plenty of choice at breakfast and delicious food will set you up for the day. Really convenient for the town centre (5 minute stroll) and free parking is an added bonus. Highly recommended you won’t be disappointed.

Interesting stops for photos, Dave the driver was friendly and informative did a good job,,went to places i would never find plenty of stops and toilet breaks. the views were fantastic, worth every penny would recomend not to miss this one.

Excellent tour of the Lakes. The driver, Gerry, was very informative and gave lots of interesting information about the areas we travelled through. A most enjoyable tour.

Seeing all of the different mountains hills and fells a really enjoyable day out and first class history of the places we called at our driver Geoff was full of knowledge on the journey look forward to taking future trips with mountain goat can highly recommend this trip

Great day out, beautiful scenery. Bus picked up at our hotel on time and we were met by our tour guide Mark. The whole day was interactive and very interesting, we were taken around the lakes which was amazing but the tour was taken to another level by Marks knowledge of the area and his approach to us and our enjoyment of the day. By far the best tour guide i have ever had the opportunity to meet. I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody visiting the lake district. Thanks Mark you made our tour enjoyable from start to finish

Tess was awesome! This tour was so great! I got to see so much of the Lake District that would be otherwise inaccessible to me as a solo traveler without a car. I would highly recommended.

I read the reviews before booking and can see why it’s been highly recommended. Our driver Duncan was very knowledgable and friendly. Full day approx 7.5 hours but worth it being able to see some sites you wouldn’t get to see without a guide. Just the right amount of breaks and stops. Stunning scenery with minimal walking which was good for us.

Great tour around the lakes. Derek is a fountain of knowledge with great wit to make the day very enjoyable. Great way to see a snapshot of the Lakes which we will now use to help us choose what to do with the rest of our time in this beautiful part of the world.

What a fabulous tour, I was just glad that I wasn't driving. We've had many trips to the northern lakes and have visited several of the places included on this tour but- not having to drive and listening to the interesting tour commentary provided another layer of detail to the enjoyment of all these lovely places.

My wife and I have just completed this tour with Peter Walker our guide. This trip far out weighed our expectations, we have been on many excellent excursions in Europe and this stands along with those. Peter was both an excellent driver on difficult roads and a great guide , his knowledge was excellent. The stops Peter took us to gave great vantage points for photos.
