About the operator
- MissJury2100Great energy and mix of history + humourSonya was amazing! So good to get a tour from a guide that is both experienced and local. She had visual aids, which I thought was a nice touch. She also pointed out famous graduates from the various Colleges, which I really appreciated, and kept us out of the sun, which was a welcome gesture in 30 degree heat. :) 5 stars!
- 513jille00Extremely informative tourOur guide, Daisy, was excellent. Very informative, enthusiastic and witty. She brought history to life and we learnt so much we hadn't known before about Cambridge's history and its colleges. Highly recommended!
- Wanderer0749465450500Free walking tourOur guide, Toby, was friendly and approachable. The 2 hour walk was at a pace that was appropriate for the group. He was very knowledgeable and took us around the main part of the town and explained the history.
- 444senb00Worth it. Highly recommendedThank you Majid, our guide tour for all the info and amazing tour. He is very efficient & professional. It was our first day & first time in our short visit to Cambridge. First stop is this free walk tour. Which is worth it. If you are just in a short visit, and in a budget, do this one first and explore the city the same day . At the end of the tour , it is worth giving donation please. My daughter used to work as Student ambassador and this extra income is very helpful.
- T8045DGmartinas00Time well spent. Thanks Daisy! An experienced guide with a wealth of knowledge who put Cambridge into historical context. It was informative and a pleasant 2-hour tour
- petranY3906KV00Great Walking Tour with DaisyWe had a lovely tour today with Daisy. Daisy did an outstanding job. It was a big group but Daisy managed to include everyone, always speak loudly and clearly, so that everyone could understand her. She told us in a lively, entertaining way a lot about the history of Cambridge and the University and slipped in some stories of her own experiences. We had a great time and can fully recommend the tour with Daisy.
- shankarb201600Cambridge with FootprintsOur guide was Daisy who is doing her PhD in history. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and a great speaker. She took us through the history and guided us past the major colleges. Humourous anecdotes enlivened the experience. We had done the Oxford tour in 2018 with Footprints. Strongly recommend them. Would have loved to have gone inside some of the colleges but you need to do that separately.
- I7659JMkc00Amazing, informative, interesting and funSonia was so knowledgeable but kept it interesting and the 2 hours just disappeared as we were engrossed in the story of Cambridge University. Thoroughly enjoyed the stories/histories of the colleges this afternoon.
- Jason W00Excellent tour group with knowledgeable guidesVery well organised walking tour with an experienced student led team. Daisy, the tour guide, was a current student at Trinity College and brought the city and it's history to life. Her knowledge was second to none and she confidently answered all our questions and gave great recommendations on the local area. I learnt so much about Cambridge and the people that have made such an impact on the city. I would highly recommend the free tour that allows you to tip the tour guides what you think the tour was worth - I think she was worth every penny all the guests gave her!
- HappyHolidays07400First class experienceSonya was an excellent guide, showing the highlights of Cambridge with flair. A great way to see the city whether you have visited many times or for the first time. A relaxed but informative way to look around.
- Sweepy898600EXCELLENT TOUR WITH SONIAExcellent 2 hr tour with Sonia. She was so knowledgeable and the time flew by. She also added a bit of humour to the tour with lots of anecdotes from times gone by.
- Sightseer45855200Absent guideGuide didn’t turn up. No-one contacted us in advance to let us know. At least the refund is coming quickly!
- 321sarais00Best guide tour in CambridgeI really recommend the tour, 2 hours walking around Cambridge with an amazing guide who knew lots of history and curiosities of the city. Best way to visit the city.
- priyai72700informative and so much funWe did the 2 hour free tour with tour guide Sibylle. She was so knowledgeable, brought fantastic energy and humor, and really helped us immerse ourselves into the history and life at Cambridge. Her thorough background in history brought so much credibility to her tour, she really made the most of the 2 hours. optional tip at the end. so pleasantly surprised by this free tour!
- Pablo L00Brilliant tour and guideLovely tour around the city, history and colleges. The guide was absolutely brilliant, smart and super interesting to listen to (sorry I don't remember her name, a Spanish and Greek Literature student at King's College). Wouldn't change anything!

Booked the tour online expecting to go in buildings or grounds in Cambridge. After meeting at Kings college we set off with our guide Alice . A busy day ( graduation day ) , so many people on the streets and at times a little difficult to hear what was being said . We wandered round for 1 1/2 hours and saw plenty of things that you could find yourself quite easily . Alice was lovely and informative but we did not go anywhere that was special ( thinking maybe wander round a college garden or grounds maybe 🤔) . Certainly not value for money , done quite a few walking tours ( see my reviews ) and this one just did not wow or surprise me . At the price of £46 for the two us , cannot really recommend, just do your own thing , you’ll find most things without much effort .

Fantastic tour and Cordelia was an amazing guide. I did the free tour where you pay what you think it is worth, and I wish I had been able to give more because it was so educational. You learn the good and the ugly of the university city from millennia ago to what it is today.
Your guide brings you through the streets of Cambridge while also taking you to spots where you aren't being interrupted by other tourists. If you are in Cambridge, I would 100% suggest taking this tour. I would recommend going in the morning time so you can see the lay of the land and get some background before you start your sightseeing on your own. It's a lot of walking, but it goes by quickly.
If this is the quality of their larger tour, I think their smaller group tours must be also incredible.

We arrived expecting a large group to find it was just 3 of us, maybe as it was Valentine's day.
However, for us it meant we had a personal tour which was fantastic. Cambridge is a beautiful city and our tour guide Claudia was extremely knowledgeable, we learnt so much about the history & architecture and she even gave us tips on how to see the colleges for free. From her recommendation we went to Evensong at Kings College which was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Sonya was excellent tour guide. She provided us with tons of information about history of Cambridge, details about University of Cambridge and she took us around to see most of the historic center. The tour was not only information, but also fun and entertaining. Even though we had very large age range in the group, Sonya made it very engaging for everyone. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about Cambridge, and you can't beat the price!

Very recommendable walking tour. It is a free tour (only the tip you decide at the end) that lasts 2 hours. The guide was knowledgeable and amenable. The only thing is that you do not enter the King's College nor any other colleague. Therefore, I would recommend that you buy the entrance to the King's College Abbey afterwards (Sundays closed).

Delayed due to one guide not turning up on time. Tour was over subscribed, so no entry to kings college chapel happened, neither did entry to kings college itself. Tour guide only stopped a few times throughout the hour and a half “tour”. Poor, and could’ve done the walk on my own for free.

Fabulous tour with a really knowledgeable and interesting guide. We did the ‘free’ walking tour where we paid what we thought it was worth at the end, so gave a generous tip, as did thankfully most of the quite large group. My husband and I were with our son and his girlfriend and we all agreed how much we enjoyed it. The tour lasted about 2 hours but went very quickly. We had done a 45 minute punting trip in the morning, and were a little concerned that it could be quite repetitive but this wasn’t the case at all. Rowena was so articulate and very mindful of our safety as we walked around the city, as well as being happy to answer our questions. Thank you so much.

The tour concentrated on the history of various universities as we walked around the city centre. The two hours went quickly, and we were very interested in hearing all the narrative and anecdotes. We'd recommend this tour, and we liked the idea that you could pay a tip according to how much you enjoyed it. A good tour.

Sonia was an excellent tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the city of Cambridge as well as the university and colleges. We saw quite a lot of important historical sites during the tour; however, we didn’t have to walk great distances which was nice. Sonia encouraged questions and was able to answer them all with ease and humour. This was a great use of our time in Cambridge. I would strongly recommend this tour to everyone for their first trip to the city as it really is a lovely way to orient yourself and understand the vast history of this place. Again, thanks to Sonia for her warmth and vast knowledge. Tipping at the end of the trip is encouraged and I believe very appropriate given the exceptional nature of the tour!

Our guide for the trip was Sonya , she was extremely knowledgeable, informative and humorous, making the experience immensely enjoyable , whilst also being highly educational , answering all questions .
It was bitterly cold on the day , however she was full of engaging enthusiasm, and the 2 hour tour whizzed by , how we wished it had gone on for longer .
Would recommend anyone visiting Cambridge to take advantage of this, gives you so much insight , and embellished the visiting experience.
It's a free tour therefore donations are welcome , we were happy to make a hopefully reasonable and reflective donation , she was fully deserving of all donations given .
Be sure to make this a priority of your visit , cannot recommend highly enough , especially if you are guided by Sonya .
