On arrival, you’ll head to the evening’s best Aurora Borealis viewing locations. Going with a guide is essential, as these locations are subject to change based on weather and time of year. Your guide explains how and why the Northern Lights are formed in this region of Canada as you gaze up at the dancing lights. Get help capturing the perfect photo before returning to the warmth of the vehicle. For your comfort and convenience, snacks and hot drinks are provided at certain stops. We used two tour companies, but we liked North Star Adventures Tour company the BEST!! They took their own photos. I can't remember how much extra it was to have them emailed to us. The photos are time-lapsed..... the photographer has you stand still for several seconds, then he says, "Smile!!", and quickly shines a flashlight in your face for literally a second. Then a second or so later he tells you you can move. What a fabulous place for a proposal!! Remember, you two will be all bundled up in your jacket, hat, etc. with literally only your faces showing (and that only after you pull down your balaclavas down). But, what a wonderful way in which to be proposed!!! We were there in February and were very lucky. We saw the Aurora all four nights, it kept getting better each night, with the last night seeing the lights dance!! Unbelievably beautiful!!
