I would have given this five stars if there was more Chinatown in the MODERN CHINATOWN FOOD & HISTORY TOUR. Brenda did a great job as our tour host. I just wish this tour was more about Chinatown and stopped at more Chinatown restaurants. We were exposed to great handpies and

We booked this tour at the last minute, and were amazed to learn that we had a private tour for two with Brenda. She was personable and knowledgeable- not just about the city and its restaurants, but she knew all the chefs and the stories of how they started their businesses.

Hi, So glad you enjoyed the Modern Chinatown Food & History Tour with our awesome guide Brenda. She is such a great guide as she knows her history and she absolutely knows all the chefs. A great person to ask for a recommendation for future eating adventures! We love getting to know a city through it's food and think this is a great tour to get to know one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Victoria and the oldest Chinatown in Canada. How great are those dumplings! Thank you again for the review, Bonnie

Booking with the company online was easy. On my tour, there were 11 members of one family and me. Brenda was our guide. I got to our meeting place from my ship port by paying the $15 roundtrip ticket for the shuttle (they are lined up waiting on the pier and you can pay with

Hi, Thank you for the very thorough and informative review of our Modern Chinatown Food & History Tour. We appreciate the feedback. To address your review: 1) Yes, you would need to take a shuttle from Odgen Point in order to get to the tour sight. Odgen Point is at least a 15-20 minute walk to the Inner Harbour and the meeting location is another 5-10 min away so a bit too far to walk. But the shuttle bus is easy and costs $15 round trip. Victoria is not a big city and pretty easy to navigate. 2) So glad you enjoyed the tour stops! There are 8 stops on this tour including a locally roasted coffee, a delicious savory hand-pie, an Indian infused poutine, a pork bun, dumpling, local craft beer, French macaron cookies and some organic locally made candy. A fun way to see modern small businesses in a historic neighbourhood. 3) Our guides are all local and passionate about Victoria! Brenda is awesome and she is a history buff so happy to chat about the buildings, stories, and landmarks that make Chinatown so cool! 4) Yes, all of our tours do require some mobility either walking or by wheelchair. Thank you again for the great review! Bonnie

Great trip, great guide. This was something we normally don't do as a family but we'll add "food tours" to our future excursions when on vacations. Lots of history as well as excellent food.

Hi! Thank you for the review, so glad you had FUN! Not just food but stories, history, insider tips and so much more. Doing a food tour when you first get to a destination is such a good idea as you now have a selection of local suggestions on where to eat next and we are the only food tour company to hand out an Eat Like a Local card that gets you discounts at various places around the city! Thanks again for the review, Bonnie
