Explore a popular waterway through British Columbia on this 2.5-hour Granville Island kayak tour in Vancouver. Paddle out into the waters off Granville Island with your guide. Delve into False Creek and discover the varied commercial enterprises, pretty floating homes, bustling marinas and unique vistas that make it special. Admire native Canadian wildlife such as birds and seals in its natural habitat. Stop off along the way at sites of interest such as the Granville Island Market, BC Place and the Olympic Village, and gain insight into Vancouver’s colorful heritage.
What to Expect

Please check-in 10-15 minutes in advance of your tour start time.  The first part of your tour will be spent getting set up in your kayak and lifejacket, as well as getting familiar with how to use a paddle.  There will also be a short safety briefing on paddling as a group before getting on the water.

Following this, you’ll launch on our dock and have some time on the water to get comfortable and practice kayaking before setting off along the shoreline to take in the sights.  Our passionate guides are excited to meet you, share their favourite stories and help you experience from Vancouver from the unique perspective of a kayak.

Tour is designed for those with no kayaking experience. We always paddle at a relaxed pace to take in the sights and stop for photos, so anyone with moderate fitness can easily join this tour! Please let us know in advance if you have any condition that may affect your ability to paddle or enter a kayak from a dock. We’ll work with you to find a way to get you out paddling.

Saw different side of the city

It was a really nice outing to see a different side of Vancouver while being outdoors and learning a new skill. Marnie, our guide, was great and made learning how to paddle a breeze.

Mother/daughter kayaking

My adult daughter and I ventured out with Philip for a 2 hour tour around the bay from Granville island. He was a great guide- informative, friendly and took some great pics!
