Overview
Kayak in Howe Sound and snorkel with Vancouver's resident harbor seals during this 5-hour eco-adventure. Board a boat from Horseshoe Bay with your adventure guide, headed toward the Pam Rocks seal colony. Slip into the provided snorkel gear and wetsuit, then dive in for an up-close experience with seals, following their lead. Kayak around the bay and the rocks, experiencing the marine environment while in a low-profile boat. A sightseeing-only option is available for those passengers who wish to stay dry on the boat. All kayaking and snorkeling equipment, refreshments and light snacks are included.
What to Expect
Make your way to the expedition center in Horseshoe Bay, where you'll board the boat for your 5-hour adventure on the water. Set off to the North, traveling to Howe Sound's Pam Rocks, home to the resident seal colony.

Snap photos of the harbor seals sunning themselves on the rocks and moving effortlessly through the water. Harbor seals can grow up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) in length and are known to be docile and curious.

Don a provided wet suit and snorkel gear, then slip into the water and watch the seals from a respectful distance under the supervision of your snorkel guide. Chances are, the seals will want to check out their visitors; you and your group will follow their lead and your guide will ensure your safety. Kayakers will climb into their boats and float nearby; the seals may bob along the surface next to the kayaks or swim playfully underneath. Switch between kayaking and snorkeling, or simply stay on the boat and watch the show. No snorkeling or kayaking experience is necessary.

This excursion includes snacks, hot soup, and cold drinks, all of which can be enjoyed while cruising back to Horseshoe Bay, admiring ocean and mountain scenery of Howe Sound.

Your tour ends up back at your departure point in Horseshoe Bay after 5 hours.
