Overview
This boat and snorkeling tour from Cancun gives you a 2-for-1 value—you’ll take a speedboat ride through Nichupte Lagoon and snorkel in the Punta Nizuc coral reef and underwater museum. Choose to take the driver’s seat or ride shotgun in a 2-seat speedboat as you explore Cancun’s mangrove forest en route to your snorkeling destination, hearing commentary about the ecosystem along the way.
What to Expect
Make your own way to the meeting location to join your guide and group. Suit up in a life jacket and snorkel equipment, and then head out on a 2-person speedboat for a ride around Nichupte Lagoon. Decide whether you want to drive the boat or just ride as a passenger. Either way, listen to your guide talk about the mangrove forest and the diverse wildlife it protects—you might even catch sight of a seabird or crocodile.

Then, don your snorkel equipment for a dive down to the Mayan Coral Reef at Punta Nizuc, which is home to fish and wildlife, as well as a collection of underwater statues. After 30 minutes, you’ll head back to lagoon before entering Cancun Bay.

Your tour concludes near the original departure point.

A nice two hours trip in the Mangrove and snorkeling

It was a good experience, with our guide Raoul. The boat are really fun and quite rapid, the tour is also interesting: in the Mangrove and along the Marina for the return back. Raoul was a great guide. Snorkelling was quite good, but for scuba...More

For Beginners

This tour starts with a repetitious introduction in basic boating skills. After the intro, groups of four two-seat boats follow a guide through the mangroves and to a snorkel spot. If you are a diver, you'll find this to be disheartening. The reef is mostly...More

Activity was great, Yayo was our guide, all activity was a blast, the only comment I would do is that our guide should be more comprehensive, not all people like fast, and we didn't understood the whole activity before jump on the boats, some was...More

Hi, They are only 2 seater boats so one of you drives, the other is a passenger. The guide has his own boat, and you all follow him like a line of ducklings. It's really, really worth doing. Regards, Ian.
