What to Expect
Arrive at a centrally located meeting point and hop a local bus with your small group and guide. No need to navigate Mexico City’s daunting public transit system alone. Upon arrival at Teotihuacan, your guide leads you on an educational walking tour of what is considered one of the most important ruins in Mexico. It is also among the most visited. Your guide helps you wind your way through the crowds and catch all the UNESCO World Heritage Site’s highlights. Stops include the Avenue of the Dead Men, Rio San Juan, the Citadel, Pyramid of Quetzatcoatl, Quetzalpapalotl Patio and the Palace of the Jaguars. If you’re up it, you’re given time to climb the Sun and Moon pyramids for a view of the entire pre-Hispanic city. After your tour, your guide escorts your group back to Mexico City.

This was a low cost trip using public transport to Teotihuacan. This made it quite authentic, since we experienced Tram, Coach and Metro as part of the trip in addition to a very good guided tour of the site with lots of explanations of the history and culture.
