Highlight of Our Trip to Puerto Vallarta
Sep 2021
This was really a highlight of our visit to PV. Fernanda, our teacher, was great. She really knows her stuff and loves to share all about Mexico and its chocolate and history. Our time together was a perfect combination of history, hands-on learning, conversation, and tasting interesting and delicious treats made from the cocoa tree. If you love to create things, learn new things, and increase your understanding of Mexico and its people and culture, you don't want to miss this experience.

Experience Bean to Bar Chocolate Workshop!
Jul 2021 • Family
Must do activity for chocolate lovers!! The shop is so cute and employees are super friendly. Our 7 year old son loves chocolate even up to 80% cacoa chocolate. We arrived a little early to the museum for the bean to chocolate workshop so the young man working gave us a little pre sampling of chocolate 60% to 100% while we waited.

Fernanda was our guide for the workshop. She was so knowledgeable, super friendly and personable. We were pleasantly surprised she was local since her English was very fluent with a subtle Spanish accent. The workshop delivered more than we expected. We made several bars of chocolate to take home at the end, so wonderful and delicious. Truly enjoyed the entire workshop from learning a little history to working with the whole cacao bean to sampling the chocolate drinks we helped make.

For adults who love chocolate, this experience money well spent! For those with younger kids, I would say it depends on how patient and interested they are in learning about chocolate from tree to bean to chocolate. They recommend 8 years although we still booked for our chocolate loving 7 year old.

This was one memorable experience and a highlight of our vacation in Puerta Vallarta!! Beautiful views in the workshop and conveniently located for tourists.

Highly recommend for families
Jul 2021
My 7 and 8 year old daughters and I passed a wonderful afternoon here. Mr. Jorge was so fun and interesting as we learned about cocoa trees, chocolate and its history in Mexico! We enjoyed making our own candies with the add-ins and molds provided. We got to enjoy several chocolate drinks as well -- it was not rushed and we enjoyed the gorgeous views of the Bay while working in the AC!

Fernanda was a wonderful host and teacher.
Our family of 7 (6 adults 1 child) had a fantastic time.
We learned a lot about chocolate and enjoyed all the husk removing, coco bean grinding, and chocolate making. We will continue to do the workshops as we return to PV!
Thank you Fernanda!

My wife and I had a great time learning about the history of chocolate and how it goes from bean to bar! We really enjoyed the chocolate drinks and then making our own chocolate bars. Our guide was very knowledgable, his English was excellent, and his way of explaining things was great. We highly recommend stopping by if you guys have a couple hours to spend in Puerto Vallarta!
