Marietas Islands: Snorkel Cruise from Puerto Vallarta
From US$85.00
Spend the day immersed in the marine life of the Marietas Islands and the Bay of Banderas on this full-day cruise from Puerto Vallarta. Even those with no experience will feel comfortable participating in guided snorkeling and kayaking tours, with all equipment included, to catch a glimpse of the Mexican Pacific’s abundant flora and fauna. Travel light, as breakfast, lunch, and an open bar are included on the boat.
What to Expect
Meet your boat at Puerto Vallarta’s Maritime Terminal in the early morning. Travel light, since all recreational equipment, as well as breakfast, lunch, and beverages, are provided.
Set out for the Bay of Banderas and the Marietas Islands. En route, take in the scenery and eat breakfast while your crew handles logistics. Keep watch for Pacific bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins, and spotter dolphins. December through March, you may see humpback whales in the area, too. Learn about the local marine life’s biology and behavior, as well as Mexico’s conversation efforts, from your guide.
Take guided kayaking and snorkeling expeditions throughout the bay and islands. Instruction and equipment are provided, so even beginners will feel comfortable. Learn about other Mexican Pacific inhabitants, such as blue-footed boobies, red-billed tropic birds, manta rays, and tropical fish.
After enjoying lunch and an open bar, return to the Maritime Terminal in the mid-afternoon.

Not the best for Diving

We booked this because my wife who is not a diver could accompany me. And that is basically true but a few details so to be informed. The rental gear is poor quality and they give you the smallest dive fins I have ever seen....More

Yes you leave from The Marina on a fairly large Catermaran travel over to Isla Marietas and do your first dive directly off the big boat. If you are not an advanced diver your second dive will likely also be from the big... More

It was only open after the snorkeling. I think you will probably find that to be the case with most safety-oriented tour operators. Diving/ snorkeling and alcohol are a dangerous combination!
