Highlights
  • Get the most of your time in St. Maarten with this tour
  • Visit areas of St. Maarten that are only accessible by boat
  • Enjoy soda and beer from the onboard open bar
  • This small-group tour offers personal attention
What to expect
  • After your cruise ship docks at the Philipsburg cruise port, make your way to Dock Maarten Chesterfield Wharf to start your day out at sea. Meet your knowledgeable captain and small group of eleven people or less, then step aboard the speedboat. Leaving the harbor, head for Simpson Bay Bridge and the Dutch side of the island. Visit the largest lagoon in the Caribbean to see scores of luxe yachts on display, each more elaborate than the next.  The captain will pull up at Tintamarre, an uninhabited island favored by the local sea turtles. Jump into the warm, calm waters to commune with the turtles as they swim around you in this protected reserve.  At the Marina Royale in Marigot, European-style cafés line the water, showing the French influence on this side of the island. View the imposing Ft Louis, flying its French flag over the town. Cruise over to Friars Bay, the site of many of the island's legendarily hedonistic Full Moon parties, then stop at Happy Bay.  Continue to Pinel Island, where you'll sit down for a hot lunch at a beachside restaurant on Yellow Beach. Sit in the shallows with a refreshing beverage from the onboard bar or trek around the tiny island to explore the tide pools along the shore.  After an hour there, zip over to Creole Rock, the area's best snorkeling spot, smack in the middle of Grand Case Bay. Don a mask, flippers and snorkel to explore the undersea world, rich with marine life and vibrant coral. Then take off on a cruise around the island, viewing the mansions of Terre Basse and the red rock cliffs on the Bay Rouge. Feed the fish in Long Bay as you attempt some celebrity-spotting on the beach of the nearby La Samanna Resort.  The boat will hang out just off Maho Beach, the perfect place to place to watch as aircraft come in for a landing at nearby Princess Juliana Airport. Then it's just a short cruise back around Simpson Bay before arriving back at Dock Maarten Chesterfields Wharf, where your 6-hour adventure will end. Worry-free Shore Excursion: We will ensure your excursion ends with ample time for you to return to the St Maarten port for your ship’s departure. In the extremely unlikely event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. If your ship is delayed and you are unable to attend this activity, your money will be refunded. See our terms and conditions for full details.

Best excursion day ever!!
We had an AMAZING experience on the boat with Captain Boy and the other people on the boat. From the moment we walked on we were met with smiles and laughter. The speed boat in itself was so much fun. Captain Boy played great music the entire time and we all mingled over beers and rum punch, what more do you need?? We snorkeled at a few different spots and it was a great experience each time. We saw lots of fish and even saw a turtle! The lunch at Grand Case was unlike any other meal we had, sooooo yummy. We ended the ride being pelted by a torrential downpour and it was actually so much fun. We karaoked our way through it! Such an amazing experience and would LOVE to do it again :) Shoutout to the BEST captain ☺️

Drone Island and an Amazing Seaside Food Shack - And Snorkelling Too!
Sep 2021
Captain Nicholas was great. He rescued a pair of sunken sunglasses for 1 passenger and went out of his way to try to find a lost $700 drone on the turtle stop on the french side. I can't remember.the island's name, so now I call it Drone Island cuz the drone is still there having landed on a rock. The lunch stop was amazing. From tne outside and inside, the place is a shack. But the food was amazing and cooked on a charcoal grill with a fantastic combination of seasoning. The lady preparing the food was given a well deserved round of applause by my fellow shipmates.

Great trip, bring cash!
My family with 3 kids (aged 4, 6, and 8) had a great day with our captain Sammy! We brought snorkel gear incase they did not have small enough sizes. They did have snorkels, but not flippers. They also had small life jackets and pool noodles to float on. Sammy made a killer Rum Punch and kept all the drinks flowing for both adults and kids. He had a great play list and had us all dancing in between stops. The tour lasted about an hour longer than it was supposed to (no problems for us)! We were very grateful for Sammy's knowledge, fun personality, and how great he took care of us. A few things travelers should know: the marine park fee was $30-$35 for our family of 5. This had to be paid in cash before the tour started. Also, the trip advisor tour I purchased said we would have lunch (not included) at Yellow Beach. We did not get to eat here, but were taken to another place where only cash was accepted. I think Yellow Beach would have been a better option. But the surprise cash requirements ate into my planned tip for Sammy.

Awesome day on the water w Brett. He said his goal was to make our day the best day of our vacation, & it’s exactly what happened. Very comfortable ride even though it was temporarily bumpy on occasion, he knows how to drive a boat & take care of guests. I’d give this tour an 11 plus..excellent day

Best Boat Tour We’ve Been On
Feb 2020 • Friends
The tour was fabulous from start to finish. Nicos and Charlie we’re very friendly, professional and informative. The boat was spacious, clean and well equipped. This was one of the best boat tours because it checked everything off our list. Snorkelling with an array of fish and turtles, feeding Iguanas and lounging on soft white sand beaches. If we ever have the pleasure of coming back to St. Maarten we wouldn’t hesitate to attend this tour again.

Best water & snorkel tour
Feb 2020 • Couples
Captain Nicholas and 1st Mate Diana provided wonderful hospitality while we hit beautiful snorkel destinations (Tintamar Island & Creole Rock) with a stop at the walk up beach at Pinelle Island, Rainbow beach for a spectacular lunch / drinks at the Rainbow cafe, yet another secluded beach for a swim, quick stop to watch the jets at Maha and then back. Only 11 people on our boat - plenty of space & great rum punch. We took the same tour last year and did it again because it was so wonderful. Highly recommend!!

Funnest day of our trip
Jan 2020
I can't recommend Robinson Speed Boat Tours enough! Our captain was Adam and our first mate was Charlie. They did a great job making our tour special and told us all about the island. The customer service was top notch, the snorkeling spots were amazing, the provided snorkeling gear was good, and the boat was fast and beautiful. The tour also included plenty of rhum punch, cold beer, and an optional lunch at a great French restaurant.

Booking faild
Never use this tour. I have made the reservation online, they took my money and then after a while they send me the confirmation. After a while they send me the cancellation whitout any reason.
I ask them and they simply said, sorry we are fully booked.
I lost my time and It was difficult to find something else in a short time.
Why they didn t declined for the begining? Why they took the money?
To get money back you should wait 3-5 days base on your bank....
So, is you what to not have surprises with your booking... avoid this tour....

Good Afternoon. Thank you for your precious time and thank you to put your very first review under our company. We are very sorry about your excursion got cancelled but thats called 5 star costumer service. Here is why: Your tour was not cancelled without reason but with reason as the company was sold out for the day which happens sometimes. We responded very quick and it gave you the time to reorganize your day and find another excursion. Without us cancelling you properly on a timely matter your vacation can be ruined and we would never ever do that. Probably since you are a new here you never read those stories when guest were left behind and waiting on the dock but the company never showed up. Since you were booking thru with a 3rd party agency ,that could be also the part of the responsibility for the agency to check if we still have availability or not. We don't understand why you put a review for us here to the company who did everything 100% right? Your money was also paid to the agency not for us. Im advising you to ask them where is your money. My question is how you can advise other travelers " Never Use this Tour' as you not even experience it. For future reference we are hoping you will have something nice to say and you not only using this platform to express your frustration on company's who trying to do their very best for their costumers!! Best Regards Team Robinson.

Great way to see St Marteen
Well worth the money! GREAT crew! Nicholas and Anna were absolutely wonderful. Couldn't be more accommodating. Very professional and safe. Meal in Gran Casse was excellent and worth the extra 15 dollars. One more though.... If you are looking for a good snorkeling experience this isn't it. St Marteen got hit by a bad hurricane and the coral reefs are pretty much dead. You will see some fish though. We did see a turtle from the boat but not while snorkeling. Even though the snorkeling wasn't great the excursion was worth doing for sure.

CAPTAIN AL AND FIRST MATE DIANE
This excursion is truly out of this world. If you’re looking for a great way to see the island and spend a lot of time in the water, this is your trip!! We were on board allure of the seas, our boat had probably about 14 guests. We visited a few different snorkel sights. I saw stingray and sea turtles, puffer fish and other beautiful little fish and coral. (Bring max 2 towels for each person, you get in the water multiple times throughout 6 hours) we went around the whole island and saw awesome parts on both Dutch and French side. Visit creole rock just before having lunch! I got the mahi mahi it was very yummy! They make sure to keep you hydrated all day and don’t worry there’s plenty of drinks and rum punch to go around;) I was fascinated by the couple little MUST SEE beaches they make sure to take you to before getting to airport beach and have an airplane fly right over you! I’m telling you this excisions will blow your mind, it’s an all around great time! Words don’t do it justice!
Thank you Captain and first mate
And most importantly Robinson boat tours. We will be back!
