Hurricane Maria, September 2017, took away unique things only found in Puerto Rico, but in return gave us new things to look forward too, closing some of our most beautiful and unique places to visit but adding and opening up others. This Amazing and unique Adventure will replace the El Yunque Rainforest, until it fully opens. This perhaps may be the ONLY tour that you get it all in 1. You get to see the mountains, the country side of the island, the culture, eat the local food, be with and among the locals, swimming in waterfalls, hiking in the forest etc..., This 8 hour, small group hiking Adventure, will take you into the mountains of Puerto Rico. We will hike a trail that will take us to a hidden waterfall. During our hike to this breathtaking waterfall, there are natural swimming pools to jump in to and refresh. We will end our day of Fun and Adventure at a local restaurant to enjoy the local cuisine (at your own expense). like a hidden waterfall!! The day before your Adventure, you will receive a text message or a call with your pick up time. Your guide will pick you up between 8am and 9:30am from your accommodations in San Juan. Travel comfortably in a 14 passenger, air-conditioned van, 1300ft above sea level into the mountains of Puerto Rico (approximately a 40-50 minute drive). When we arrive, we will get all of our things together to hike to a hidden waterfall. This is not a touristy area. The only people that know about this spot are the locals. This waterfall is not even located on the internet. This trail is approximately 18-35 minutes long, depending on your fitness level. This Adventure has everything that you look forward to on a hike, climbing over rocks, jumping over bodies of water, walking over bridges made of fallen trees, scaling sides of rock, climbing over and under trees etc... For all of you Dog lovers, there are a bunch of friendly and caring local dogs that will accompany us every step of the way. Once we arrive at this breathtaking waterfall, you will have time to go in and/or under. During our hike back to the van, there are more than 4 natural water pools to hop into and refresh. The last stop will be at an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant (at your own expense) to enjoy a late lunch or early dinner. After our delicious, filling local meal, we will then part the restaurant where you can relax on your drive back to San Juan.
