Do Not Buy The Pics and Video, BE WARNED .
The scenery was lovely, bikes quiet difficult to stop as you had to pedal backwards to stop. Food very basic rice and dry chicken The most annoying is we bought the pics and video. When 2 days later and 2 emails not responded to I went to the person at the hotel we booked with. She rang them and again promised it would come through on email. We has to hold the bus up taking us to the airport as we were leaving waitingfor them to come through. The pics came but no video despite someone from Go Beyond promising to send it. Take note do not bother with the pics/ video not worth the stress and 40 dollars down. Rip off!!

          five star all the way!
One of the best experiences in Jamaica!! despite the long bus ride it was fantastic. It is a must if you want to see a real part of the island. The journey takes you up the mountain on a very narrow and un-even road … what a ride … awesome guides… awesome food….awesome views…

          Great adventure, LONG bus ride!
We booked this experience through Sandals Royal Carribean in Montego Bay. One excursion was the Blue Mountain Coffee/Hike and Waterfall Excursion. Online it was booked and sold to us as 10-4:30. The night before the tour we hadn’t recieved any paperwork about the tour or time to meet etc. and so we stopped in the lounge and they had our trip paperwork they needed us to sign. This is when we learned it was a 3.5-4hr ride by bus to the destination EACH WAY. So it was a 6:15am-7:30pm day trip. Of course if you try to cancel within 4 days there is no refund. So off we went. It was great but the bus ride caused us both motion sickness, which never happens for us, and it was a LONG day we did not expect. The hike was also pretty strenuous with a lot of elevation gain in a very short duration, Bring bug spray and lots of water! The nice part was the bus stayed with you the whole time so you only carried what you needed for that specific activity and left the rest on the bus. The actual destination and activities were fun and would be recommended just be sure you know everything depending on where you are staying!

          Fantastic Time!
I did the HIKE and BIKE tour that they now offer and it was fantastic! You go through several bustling communities on the way to the "mountain". The driver was fun and informative! The Brunch and Lunch spot was in a great location. I really can't think of what would have made the trip better. The Hike, Bike, and Lagoon ending were all exhilarating! Know Before You Go: 1. This is 2 hours each way from Boscobel and 2.5 hours from Ocho Rios. If the shuttle from the airport was too much for you than this will not be the excursion for you. I would Not recommend for Motion Sickness sufferers! 2. The hike can be pretty strenuous at times. The tour operator should be more informative about that. No issues on my end but a few people struggled. The hike is uphill and you traverse about 2000 feet higher in elevation than you start from. 3. While it is true that you really do not do any pedaling on the bike ride, you will be riding the coaster break the entire time and it is easy to get up to pretty high speeds. Nobody had any issues, but if you haven't been on a bike for a few years, it could be more intense than you are expecting. 4. Make sure you bring something to swim in. You do not want to miss the refreshing waterfall and lagoon at the end!

Bicycle part and food good , transportation part bad
Pros: food was good, biking down the mountain was beautiful. Kemo our photographer was awesome! Cons: Our tour driver Keith had road rage, granted people were late during pick up and there was a lot of traffic. We booked from our hotel through Jamaica tours, the bus we were picked up in was in terrible condition and needs to be out of commission. A-lot of the bus was falling apart, piece of the a/c vent that was hanging fell and hit my wife on the head leaving a mark for two days. The bikes were in poor condition as the brakes didn’t work well.

This is a great value and experience!!
What a well run experience and company! Drive Henri picked us up in Ochi and we was a very professional and funny driver, pointing out various sights along the way. The scenery in the mountains was spectacular with different trees and flowers all around. This tour involves your van driving to a high point on the Blue Mountains then you cycle downhill. The guides Jeremy and Shane were super informative and keep us safe as we traveled ( calling out potholes, rough sections, etc). This is a great way to see the mountains and how coffee is picked and roasted. Go for it!

          Best experience yet!
Never thought I could have this much fun doing a bike ride, but my family and I were like teenagers again. The tour guides were fantastic, stopped and share so much about the people who grew the coffee, and the fruits, the herbs we were seeing. Each time I return home I cannot believe how much beauty this island has. It was not difficult at all, feel the cool breeze on your face.

          Above and beyond!
The tour was great! Drivers and guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and the bike portion was fun and comfortable even for a couch potato like me. The waterfall was gorgeous (though the water is a bit chilly) and the food/coffee was amazing!! I definitely recommend. BUT!! One of our party left her phone on the bus at the end of the day, and we were flying out the next morning. Despite our hotel being 90 minutes drive from their location, they sent someone to drop it off at our hotel by 9:00 the next morning. 9.5/10 for the tour, 15/10 for the exceptional customer service.

          Must do!
My fiancé and i did this excursion while in Jamaica and it was our favorite part about our entire 2 week vacation. Even though it was raining the entire time, the crew made the experience so much fun! Thanks to Shane for staying with us when we got behind because we wanted to take some pictures!

Such a beautiful scenery so much to see! You have brunch and lunch provided, both super yummy. They show you the true process of coffee & the living experience. The people are so kind making it an awesome experience. Book with Oshane at Sandals!

          Not recomended
Picked up from Ocho Rios on time but we were not told it would be a 2 hr van ride. Driver was going way too fast especially on the windy mountain roads, making most of us feel sick. Had brunch, which was OK. Arrived at bikes later but most too small and seats were not adjustable. For those of us who are taller (I am 6 ft) very uncomfortable to use the reverse pedal brakes. Bike tour was approximately 1 hr, downhill all the way, so needed the brakes. Photo's taken by one of the staff but we were asked to pay an additional $40 for photo's to be emailed. 13 photo's emailed for $40, far too much. Arrived at the pool but were not shown change rooms, mot of us went in fully clothed! Were quickly ushered out back into the van and not given the opportunity to dry off or change so sat in van for the next 2 hrs in wet clothes. Had to pay the pool life guard an additional fee which should have been included. Certainly not 'all inclusive' as advertised. Very over priced, not recommended and certainly we were misled about the whole day. Out of an 8 hr day, 4 + hrs van ride, 1 hr biking and rest lunch and pool time.

          Blue Mountain your
The bike ride down the mountain was ok. Having to stay on the brake for 98% of the ride is not that much fun really. The place you stop to have brunch and lunch at is kept very clean and neat. The demonstration on how coffee is made was interesting and true coffee was good, but expensive to me. The guide was very courteous and knowledgeable. Be sure to check how far away blue mountain is from your location. 6 hours of our tour was spent in a van just getting there.... and that's no fun.

Beautiful tour! The food, views, coffee demonstration and biking were all incredible. I would definitely recommend this tour. Just be prepared for some possible rain as you are in the rainforest.

          No e-mail answer
They don't answer e-mail. Seems difficult if someone wants to plan a vacation in northern Jamaica and don't have access to a phone.

Unfortunately I can't give a good review about our trip to Blue Mountain provided by Blue Mountain Tours. The pick up was from Runaway Bay on November 28. My concerns are the type of the vehicle and the tour guide.
The vehicle didn't work at all with the 10 hours long trip and long drive. It was a mini van. My seat wasn't comfortable, I almost broke my back. They sold all seats to tourists including the one at the front left to the van driver. They squeezed the tour guide in on the temporary seat/ pillow between my husband's seat and the van door. The tour guide was big and pretty fat and could hardly feet between my husband's seat and the door. It was our mistake to stay in this car : we needed immediately to leave it and request a refund or tour on a bus. Unfortunately we didn't do it. The tour guide (Liam) fell asleep on the way back. He was sleeping and snoring for about two hours and occupied a part of my husbands seat. As mentioned previously this Liam could hardly feet in and needed an extra space. My husband and myself were feeling like a sh*. It was absolutely an awful attitude to tourists. We were as a sardines in a jar. You guys sold the tour guide seat to a tourist and won another $125? Good for you. I wish you to buy you pills for these money.
        Our tour was ruined.
Blue Mountain is beautiful. Our van driver was really good all the way on this tricky road. We saw tour buses on the mountain and even were on one of them for the shot drive up the mountain when some of the tourists went to the bike tour. Our guide Nesha for this part of the trip was awesome, we liked her very much. The bus had lots of space, air and seats were comfortable. So means buses can make uphill on this tricky road.
Resume: if you decide to take this tour ask on what kind of vehicle you will be going.

We took this Blue Mountain tour and ended up with a VIP tour for 3 people as most opted for the cycle down the mountain. We all ascended via minibus to just over 2500 feet where we had a light brunch provided as part of the tour. This included the obligatory blue mountain coffee as we were in the blue mountain elevation. Brunch was basic but Ok and this is where they gave a simple demo of coffee roasting. From this point those cycling down signed their disclaimers and proceeded to about 4000 feet to comnence their descent. The single track road was steep, windy and slippy in parts due to the mountain mist so it was not something we felt safe doing. We are sure all effort would be concentrating on the road ahead rather than enjoying the view. Instead we continued to about 6000 feet to the army barracks at the top of the road and it was well worth the effort. The view was stunning and for us is a must see for any visitor. We had lunch at a local Marroon cultural centre and was treated to traditional male drum and dance group. We have to say the guys had so much fun it was infectious. We finished our trip with a dip in the local river. The river bank could really do with a tidy up to make it more presentable. The trip lasted from 8am to about 1pm and was long enough to enjoy but short enough to get a few hours by the pool in the afternoon. We got a 10% discount from our rep and paid $210 US total so we would say it was reasonable value at this price.

We actually signed up for the bicycle tour and had to change it to this one. We were truly amazed at our driver Marky Mark's knowledge and guidance. From the moment he picked us up at the hotel he was pointing out so many different things that we were never bored. It was a full day and a small group and we were quickly all having fun. Once we started up the crazy mountain road we were in awe of his obvious experience in driving and eventually relaxed. He would stop and point out the different plants and what they were used for and the history of the area and the landmarks. We stopped for coffee and brunch and had a wonderful and informative demonstration of the bean off the plant to the coffee beans we use daily. Then we were taken to the top of the mountains to the military training facility where we could actually see Kingston. There were many photo opportunities and our driver did not hesitate to stop when asked or when there was something to see. On the way back down the mountain we stopped at the Asafu Yard and the Charles Town Maroon dance. They served our delicious lunch in a calabash bowl picnic style.

We took the transport from our ocho rios hotel to the top of the tour. (less than 2 hours-- LOTS to see on the way!)
Our tour guide was very knowledgable and fun. We stopped half way on the trip up to use facilities and grab snacks (both ways). We picked up a security guard ANd an armed cop joined our bike tour....so yes it was very safe.
Breakfast and lunch were terrific. They made accomodations for a vegetarian in the group.
We left our backpacks and gear on the bus. Anesha stayed with the stuff and kept it safe.
If a bike wasnt working great, a bike tour guide would swap it out instantly.
The bike guides--- omg were they serious about our safety! And handsome ;)
We loved coasting downhill. And the swim! Felt SO good.
Ps the tour did not have towels. Pack some.
Pps we decided to pay for the photos from Lucky. He did a really great job - emailed them to us 12 hours after the trip and they are incredible quality and really really great. I can make an album out of those pictures entirely! We didn't pay for photos anywhere else.....i was very happy we did with this trip.

If you love scenic views and an authentic experience- go!
