About
Sail the spirit of the Caribbean on a traditionally built schooner. Jambalaya was built in 2002, in the same manner the cargo vessels were built on our shores, for 200 years ago. Today, we have all the modern comforts on board to entertain you. Enjoy guided snorkeling, or SUP, followed by delicious local snacks and meals made of fresh island ingredients. Request our Rum and Chocolate Tasting to experience several organic chocolate treats. Or ask for our Romance Package! Jambalaya, together with its sister charter, Savvy, sail exclusively, locally built sailing vessels. We are proud to introduce our guests to the heritage of Grenada. Some of our Captains are the very boat builders! These boats represent 200 years of boat building tradition. Know that by sailing one of our vessels you are supporting the art and industry of this craftsmanship, and supporting the local community. We follow a code of conduct that respects sustainable, responsible tourism.

Picture perfect
Feb 2020
We just spent a picture perfect afternoon/sunset with Monique and Danny aboard Jambalaya. Great boat, great crew, great snacks and drinks.
This was one of the best sailing experiences I've had in a long time. Thanks so much.

Chase the Race

This was a magical day; beautiful boat, wonderful weather, great crew, excellent food, good humor. The boat was exceptionally refurbished, clean and classic. The crew were welcoming, met our every need, were relaxed and professional and made our day. What a joy to be among people with whom I felt comfortable and safe. Thank you!

Sailing + Chocolate + Rum
Jan 2020
We (Tri-Island Chocolate) host regular sunset cruisers in Grenada offering Grenadian's and visitors the opportunity to sample Caribbean rums and chocolates, Jambalaya is the only 73ft Sailing vessel we use for our larger groups. This 73 ft schooner is immaculate and sails like a thoroughbred race horse, yet cruises along smoothly enough for our guests to sit back and relax whilst they learn about Caribbean rums from Grenada, Jamaica and Trinidad whilst we pair them with rums from Martinique, Guadeloupe and Grenada. A wonderful experience onward a Rolls Royce of a sea vessel.

Was fortunate enough to experience a 4 day trip to the breathtaking Tobago Cays with Jambalaya as our host and home. Cannot recommend this experience enough, and cannot wait for the next sail! Thank you Jambalaya, captains Danny & Monique and crew.

Superb Mother Ship!
Aug 2019
My son Zack and brother Gerry are just back from a brilliant week on board Jambalaya at the Carriacou Regatta. This beautiful 73-foot schooner is one of a kind, a modern replica of a historic Windward Island Schooner. She would serve as the mother ship for the Regatta, while we got on with the serious business of racing.on board Danny Donelan's other boat Savvy. You can read my review of the Regatta in the October issue of Caribbean Compass, but suffice to say: Fabulous, fantastic, unforgettable!!!

Me, Gerry and Zack send a huge thank you to Danny, Wally and Sam, stalwarts of Savvy Sailing, they put on a seriously good service! A word on Jambalaya: I can’t speak too highly of this boat, absolutely beautiful. Not just beautiful but practical and well laid out – and spacious too, no bending down necessary! If you want a comfortable sailing trip up the islands in a boat laden with history, then Jamba is the one for you!
