Overview
The tiny Caribbean island of Bonaire is small enough to explore in just three hours and this tour ensures you take in all the highlights. Visit the main towns of Kralendijk and Rincon, admire the salt flats, spot flamingos at Goto Lake, and learn about the island’s slave history at Mangazina di Rei.
What to Expect
This excursion will begin as you drive through Kralendijk, the main village of Bonaire. The tour will first take you through the residential and resort areas. You will be able to enjoy the nature of Bonaire, as you are told about various trees and plants that were used for export in the past. Remnants of geological changes will be observed along the way. The first stop will be Goto Lake, one of the best places to see flamingos in the Southern Caribbean. These exotic birds are usually busy feeding, as their food source lives in the lake along with more than 100 other species of birds. There will be time at Goto Lake for picture taking, as well as an explanation of the life of the flamingos.

You will also visit Rincon, the oldest village in continual existence in the Dutch Caribbean. Originally settled by the Spanish in the early 1500's, where you will have a look at the Mangazina di rei before heading towards the south side to see the salt flats and the slave huts. You'll be taken back to either your hotel or the cruise ship port.

I’m trying here.

Ok so the island is probably great, and the people interesting, but we had a REALLY crummy tour guide. First thing he said when he got on the bus was, “I am feeling under the weather, so I won’t be talking.” The stops didn’t seem...More

Great last minute tour.

There we were standing on the cruise dock after finding out that the tour we had scheduled was cancelled. We went to the general information area and were referred to Jentis Tours for a last minute tour. The staff at the Jentis area told us...More

Great job!

We took a tour with eight of us from divi. They picked us up at the resort and dropped us here right on time. We had to give them a shorter time constraint because we only had a couple hours before our flight. But even...More
