Amazing day with nature
Did this tour yesterday and were lucky to get such a clear day. The approach to Mount Fuji is spectacular and the lake is amazing with the trip to Haikone an address bonus. You have to do this trip, it is a long day but well worth it in the end.

Should have been rescheduled
Our tour guide Yuki was absolutely amazing, but the tour should not have gone out on the day we had booked. It was very foggy and very rainy, and was really a waste of a day, as we could not see the mountain at all (and were barely at the top of the ropeway a few minutes due to the fog, rain, and wind being overwhelming. The missing stars are entirely due to the tour company (who should have rescheduled), but Yuki was amazing.

I understand you could not see Mt. Fuji and other beautiful mountains in Hakone area due to bad weather condition on the day.. To enjoy your tour, we JTB take you to alternative places instead if time permits. However, it does not change the date of tour on this matter. Sorry for inconvenience.

Unfortunately it was low cloud but we did get the 4th station at 2000m. Our guide Marie was great with so much cultural information. The train is too quickest and most direct method of return. Good meal and worthwhile trip.

Mt Fuji day trip

Fantastic day out. Superb tour guide and driver, we had a perfect view of Mt Fuji but could only get to First Station due to rough weather the day before. Had a very enjoyable lunch, relaxed lake cruise and brilliant view from our cable car. Wonderful experience and a very quick trip back on the bullet train.

Day trip out of Tokyo
Great day trip with JTB, despite the weather (as it was raining and overcast) we met up at Ginza, really easy, we were waiting outside the hotel, the meeting point was just inside but the staff guided us in. Our tour guide was Marie, who was excellent. Marie throughout the trip informed the group on sites, history, culture etc. which was informative and fun too. Even the weather wasn't on our side on our day it was still fun, and the lunch we paid extra for was amazing. We ordered vegetarian and the meal was fantastic. We also opted for the bullet train option which I definitely recommend as the experience was amazing. Definitely worth the money.

Bucket list trip....
Saw this tour and found it ticked all the boxes including two bucket list items to tick off, Mt Fuji and the Shinkansen.
It was a bit of a hoof to the pick up point for us but thats no problem. The tour staff were friendly and helpful and explained everything we needed to know before boarding the coach.
Our driver Mr Kato was pleasant as was Take, our knowledgeable tour guide. It started off a clear day, and we could see Mt Fuji from the highway before we left Tokyo. Take gave us lots of interesting and relevant facts and through in a little humour too. We had enough pee stops and photo stops as the clouds started to creep in but we got great views of Mt Fuji, the 5th station was closed due to snow but that was fine the 4th station had great views too.
We drove to our lunch stop and had the traditional menu. There was heaps of delicious food and we didn’t even bother with dinner after the tour we were so full. We had the Drive to Hakone and lake Ashi and again Take gave us lots of relevant information as to the area and the hot springs. It was quite cloudy by now and we had our trip on the lake to the cable car. The mountain was really cloudy and you couldn’t see the top but what the hell.
We got to the top we couldn’t see much and it was blowing a gale and snowing but we were rugged up and managed to get to the shrine and have a prayer of thanks.
We made it to terra firma without incident and headed to the station and our trip to Tokyo station on the Shinkansen. This was another bucket list item to tick off. It was a fabulous end to a great day. We got to Tokyo station and can’t the subway to Shinjuku without incident thanks to Take’s instructions. What a great trip.
