We had no idea what to expect, other than hoping to get some food and drinks at places we probably wouldn’t find ourselves. We did get that, but the experience was made all the more amazing thanks to our incredible guide Miho!!! It was only my wife and me on the tour, but thanks to Miho’s instant openness and sparkling personality, we became fast friends and a very fun trio! Miho showed us around Shinjuku, and took us to some very special and unique places we absolutely never would’ve found ourselves! Enough can’t be said about how great of a guide Miho was, it was more like having a great afternoon with a good local friend☺️ We will definitely stay in touch!! A huge recommendation from us!! They took my husband and I and another couple to many interesting bars and restaurants where we ate delicious Japanese dishes we hadn't tried before. Andrew, Leah and Issei did an excellent job showing us around Shinjuku and taking our group to restaurants/bars that are not easy to find if you do not read or speak Japanese. They really care about the customer's experience and make sure you're having a good time. The experience felt like we were eating/drinking with friends! It is primarily food oriented, though operated by the same group that does the pub crawl, so it definitely has a big drinking component. Still, it was a lovely time and the group was very friendly. I did it my first day in Tokyo with the hope of it being a good orientation, and this was exactly the experience. I guess I’m not surprised that this wasn’t the best pub crawl I’ve ever gone on, but it was just an odd experience. First off, it’s a huge group. I’m talking 100+ people. Of that, 80% are dudes. The entire group (again, not surprisingly) are tourists, and they range from 20 years old to 40+ years old. The leaders are all travelers who wound up in Tokyo and do a pretty good job at rallying the crew, helping you meet other people and getting you drunk. The bars you go to all effectively feel as if they are opened weekly exclusively for the pub crawl, as they’re all pretty low quality and totally empty other than the pub crawl attendees.
My biggest wish for this tour was that it felt more like a real night out in Tokyo - there was no Izikaya, no karaoke, no Japanese experience. You get to the last spot (a nightclub) by 11pm, which is pretty early, and then the group pretty much disperses. They could have done a bit more to recommend other good spots in Rappongi to go to after on your own for a more typical Tokyo night out.

Thanks for writing us a review. We’re gonna try to respond to most of your points.
So you went back in February and you just wrote this review in October, so it would be difficult for us to remember which event it was, But I believe it might of been on our last big events, Because it was at the onset our covid shut downs in March. We can’t deny or confirm the ratio, just gotta look photos. I guess we are all weirdo in a way. so we’ll take that as a compliment.
All the main organizers have been living in Japan for over 15 years and co host who is Japanese himself, so it wasnt a traveller who just decided to start a pub crawl while travelling here. We all had other jobs for about a decade here before we began the events. Dunno if that really matters just wanted to clarify.
We pretty much advertise what we are on our website, less of a traditional “pub crawl”. More of a massive party move to many bars and clubs. Thanks for noticing we do really put effort on our organizing skills.
Yes we designed it this way because we start bit early, and most bars and clubs will most likely be only pub crawlers because we bring on average of 120 people, and very few can places accommodate that many people, sorry tokyo is small. Tokyo bars and clubs dont really get started till 12 midnight(as do most other nightlife metropolises) But we try to create an atmosphere where you feel like you’re partying with at least 50 new friends
To be honest, there are tons and tons of smaller services in Tokyo that would of shown you the type of experience you wanted, and we recommended everyone do their research before attending our events. Just so you could manage your expectations,
The name Tokyo Pub Crawl is a bit of a misnomer because you might think of something more quaint when comparing to other cities, but Tokyo Massive Mobile Party doesnt have quite the right ring to it, haha.
All kidding aside, sorry we didnt meet your expectations, I hope you were able to find those smaller local events and fit what you were looking for.

I overall had a fantastic time and enjoyed the pub crawl, especially the kindness of the hosts, the fun and electric atmosphere, and the steady for of shots, drinks, and fun activities.
What can be improved is the organization element of the pub crawl. In my humble opinion, the organizers should put a better/smarter limit on the number of people that can join the pub crawl. It is not fun for anyone to be in an overcrowded bar in which people can barely move, let alone dance. This was the case with the second bar we went to, which had great music intended for dancing but offered very little space and made it feel like we were lumped in a very tiny space; just for the sake of the commercial success of the event.
Furthermore, at the last station, which was the Japanese night club ZEUS, the organizers did very little to merge the group together or to provide assistance. I had lost my jacket and searched for 30 min for someone from the organizing team and at the end of the night I couldn't find anyone from their team in the club.
Last but not least, you can improve on the number of games that there are so people can participate. For example, you hosted one official game (birthday game, pair of 4) but besides this, there were very few opportunities to allow play and engagement within new groups. It would be a cool idea to place some jenga, beer pong or other smaller games within the first bar so you can get the "ball" rolling for people who are more introverted (I saw a lot of people sitting in a corner because they didn't have a base-line for interaction and they were too shy to engage in conversation).

Yes sorry you came during the end of the Sakura season in Japan. Which gets a huge uptick of customers, but to be honest we were expecting 180 guest to show up. Also being the first year back since covid the uptick was bigger then we expected. But we tried our absolute best to accommodate everyone.
We’re sorry about our jacket but we had our manager there till until 1am shes a small Japanese girl do maybe you missed her? Its a big club in any case but she was definitely there. Its difficult for us to be responsibile for missing clothing. It is a pub crawl after all.
About the games and activities, we agree that there definitly should be mixers games. Did you happen to miss the first game at the first bar? Is essentially what you are talking about.
Secondly board games and tables games arentl really our thing becauae we arent a typical pub crawl we have tried in the past and it doesnt really fit us. We focus more on building a high energy social event, and we do that by picking customers to to particpate in our “show” games and doing the Karaoke challenge. And entertain our audience with humor. Sound like your do run a pub crawl yourself or go to pub crawls so often that, that became your preference. We understand everyone has their own thing and that kay. But you did have a fantastic time with our method?
Yes sometimes there are people who sit in the corner, just cause they want to enjoy the enviroment without necessarily being in the middle of the crowd. But we can assure when definitley ask type of people if they are okay or if they having fun. And 99% of the time they are happy to be there.

The good parts are the organizers are nice friendly and welcoming. They do contests at each bar which make it fun. They do give you shots when you leave and enter each bar. The bad parts are: the bars they take you to are soooooo small. They had 180 people on our crawl and the max could maximum 100. You will be squeezed on all the bars. The first two bars are expensive in my opinion charging 300 yen more per beer than your average bar. Also the guy bartender at the first bar is a complete jerk.
Bottom line: it is not a bad experience but be warned you will be cramped and overpay.

Yes sorry, it was sakura season, so we get an influx of travelers from all over tokyo and the world coming to see the sakura. Yes the one thing about tokyo is we do have 500 yen menu for well drinks but beer in Japan is just always more expensive. We try to make up for it by giving you unlimited shots. We we do mean unlimited. As much as your hearts desire. Maybe you didnt get enough shots?
And the bartender. We apologize we’ll have a talk with him. But we’re sure that all other bartenders at other bars were somewhat friendly haha.

We went to 3 Bars and had lots of free shots in between locations. I thought the transition from the 2nd to the 3rd bar was silly cause it was the same type of bar and just going up the stairs seemed lazy. The club at the end was boring.
The pub crawl is fine for meeting others who are experiencing Tokyo for a first time like you and you can form some friendships. It's not a great place to meet women because the ratio was at least 6 to 1. For the price I think it was worth it.

To be honest I was a bit worried going alone. But all of the sudden I met the staff and they were so inviting and kind to a solo traveler.
Soon the group arrived over the next hour and I met so many kindred spirit travelers from all points on the globe.
The party was just getting started.
It was amazing and so fun. Each pub greets with you with a drink and are so gracious.
I had an incredible time and made new friends while exploring pubs I would never have found before
Btw Mei, Sarah, JT and the whole staff were extraordinary! 5 stars!!

The host and organizers were so friendly, Leah was awesome, and she kept an eye on me most of the night cause I came solo. The magic word is “double” lol. When they are giving out the free shots just say that and they definitely were generous with that. I competed in the karaoke challenge even though I didn’t win, they still gave me a free drink with the other contestants, I just had the best time there

The pub crawl was great for solo travellers in Tokyo who might want to meet and socialise with others. The organiser had great energy and found ways to keep everyone excited throughout the night. The free shots and club entry at the end makes the oub crawl well worth it's price!

A great time, lots of free drinks and a great atmosphere.
The event was masterfully done as our host Leah kept the energy high and safely relocated the whole group from one destination to another.
Time flew by quickly and before I knew it my phone told me it was 4 o’clock in the morning.
So I can definitely recommend trying this, be it solo or in a group.
I went solo and met a lot of new friends, so don’t be worried about showing up to the event without knowing anyone, cause you will have a great time here.

I’ve been to about 11 pub crawls around the world. And I’m a fairly social guy. So I usually will enjoy these kind of events regardless
But this one is on another level. The size, organization, energy, people, humor, and especially the host and organizers, all very very good. They know how to get the crowd going and get everyone excited. I give these guys a lot of credit for the work they do. I’ve never been to more hyped party, I saw them scanning the event for fun high energy people to do the games and I got picked. That was smart move!

I thought this package is same like other tour packages to visit all the night life with group, in fact not, this package is just to gather the party goer. Firstly meet up at 7 pm Roppongi Bar propaganda so called meeting point, guide not much explained about tour plan, so been waiting and more and more come,gathering all party goer in small room, I waited till 800 pm, however, no showed sign to visit other and made party at same meeting place, I asked lady from tour guide said that may be another 20 minutes . I decided to give up like that tour package, I felt that lost money, this should be announced in advertisement as only for party goer. like that better we can enter ourselves which club we like

If you want to leave anytime during the second bar we will give you a refund no questions asked. We wished you can come to us, we really want our customers to be happy to be there. Since you only stayed for an hour please contact us for a refund.
Also 'd like to clarify a few points. Our tour is indeed focused on bringing party goers together to enjoy the nightlife. We go to 3 bars and a club. That night we had about 120 guest and we usually do the kickoff speech around 8PM which is the Majority of the group has arrived by them.

Hey there! The last stop is different every time but it’s walking distance from the first bar. So I’d book one near the first bar which is usually a bar called Propaganda

She has to be 20 to join, maybe she gets in the bars but Not in the Club. Im pretty sure she is Not allowed to Drink.
