Booked this tour for 6 of us on Viator but my husband had to cancel. I tried to manage it for 5 but accidentally canceled. I was frantic coz this Holy Land tour was the reason we took this cruise! I went back to Viator site, it was sold out! I went directly to the company's website & luckily was able to re-book. It was for a small group tour. There were 15 of us. Our whole day tour from Ashdod port was amazing! Our tour guide Erez was excellent! He was very knowledgeable, fun & engaging. We had a great time. We were lucky we had him. The tour is much cheaper than the cruise line for the same amount of time & places we went to. Highly recommended!

We took a 3 day package shore excursion. Our guide was Dov and he was excellent. Our bus driver was also good. They met us at the port on time each day. Everywhere we went was surprisingly crowded. Dov navigated us through it all and we saw all the highlights promised. Due to crowds, we had to make decisions about a quick stop to eat. We wasted some time going from place to place that wouldn't take too long. It is recommended that the company organize/make reservations in advance to assure we can get in and out. We took the Christian oriented tour. Dov was very knowledgeable and respectful. The pace was very fast. This tour is NOT for mobility impaired. We had some people that just could not do it. There was very little time for photos. While they stated there would be no time for shopping, it would have been so nice to have 15 or 20 minutes in the Marketplace in Jerusalem. So many stalls that we had to whisk by. Communication with Leo was amazing. We had a small problem with the bus being too small on first day, and the second day it was corrected.

This truly has to be one of the poorest managed tours that we have experienced. We were part of a group of approx 100 people. It began when we got on the bus on the first day of three days of touring. The bus was in disrepair, dirty, back door taped off and we couldn't use, torn fabric on the seats, etc. Our tour directors were very nice, but unfortunately, very unprepared. Their English was poor at best. We couldn't understand most of what was said - IF you were able to hear at all - OR you happened to be with them when they started speaking. They read from papers, seemed not to know the facts or the importance of the beautiful, historical sites. They didn't wait for all to exit the bus before they took off and then started talking - we missed so much information that we purchased a book to be able to go back through our pictures to know exactly where we were and what we saw. The bus drivers were no better. They would stop to get gas (not before our tour??), get a snack for themselves, SMOKE! We would have to wait while he made all these stops, sometimes as long as 45 minutes. This was truly a bucket list trip, and now I feel we must go back and pray we get a much better tour guide. I can't tell you the disappointment we had. Therefore, NO, DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS TOUR COMPANY!!!! I'm afraid you will be sorry, as we all were.

Again – the same group of 72 misled clients. They booked with Bill Netro Tours. He organizes shore excursions for cruisers and makes a fortune on these people. They DID NOT BOOK WITH US DIRECTLY. Only the agent booked with us – 1 person. We probably received one fifth of what his group paid him. He apparently promised them things we never agreed to, for example that we will use whisperers. We never agreed to it. For the price he paid us they received above and beyond what is reasonable. For the price they paid him – they must have had different expectations and we are sorry for their disappointment. We have a money back guarantee if you book with us directly and you will know in advance exactly what will be included in the tours. We are no longer taking group bookings through a non-licensed agent. You should avoid this arrangement as well and book directly with the tour company so you know exactly what you will receive. For a recent 3-day tour with a large group, we used Guided Tours Israel. I would not recommend this company at all! I am only giving it 1 star because there is no selection for 0.
This was a bucket list trip for me. Unfortunately, there were several issues with the tour. Our guide's English left a lot to be desired, and he was very difficult to understand. He didn't wait until the whole group was together before starting his explanations, so unless I was at the front of the group, I missed out on most of what he had to say. In groups of this size, there should have been headsets included. He moved way too quickly from one place to the next, with no time to take in the wonder of what we were seeing. I felt like it was a drive-by tour, where we just had time to snap a photo before being rushed to the next site. We had no time in the markets to shop or grab a bite to eat. Our experience at Masada was a total nightmare. While the overcrowding there wasn't the fault of the tour guide, he disappeared once we got to the top. His delay in getting back down to the meeting point on time caused us to miss a chance to swim in the Dead Sea.
Without a doubt, this is the worst tour I've ever been on. I doubt I will ever make it back to Israel, and I'm so angry that this is the experience I had!

My husband and I participated in a privately arranged 3-day bus tour offered by Guided Tours Israel and originating from our cruise ship in October 2022,. The tour included 2 full days in Jerusalem and 1 day in Bethlehem.
Visiting the Holy Lands is typically a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We do NOT recommend this tour company and would NEVER use them again.
Our group consisted of 2 buses nearly 40 people on each with 2 guides on each bus, who each took about half the passengers at each stop. We had the same guides all 3 days. One of the guides was very professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. The second guide (ours), while reasonably knowledgeable, was unable to keep his group together and had difficulty explaining the sites and answering our questions. He was clearly not an experienced guide, had poor time management skills, and had never been to some of the sites we were visiting.
We were often rushed thru the sites with minimal explanations.
Furthermore, we've NEVER been on a tour where the bus driver chose to stop for fuel when he could have easily done so while we were off the bus touring. He was very unprofessional, frequently yelling on his phone or eating while driving.
We spent thousands of dollars on a Holy Land cruise only to have our visit to Israel ruined by Guided Tours Israel's inexperienced guides and unprofessional bus driver. The owner was called and advised of these problems several times. Nothing will
ever replace the lost time and terrible experience we had.
I know the owner has responded to many of our reviews giving the impression that we are lying, etc. We booked and paid for a tour with professionals, however, we ended up with guides, who were NOT professional and a driver who had many of us VERY uncomfortable.

Jam packed day for Ashdod tour. Also did Haifa tour the next day. Same guide, did a wonderful job. What a way to see Jerusalem, this tour is the way to go, much better than cruise line tours. We had a great and knowledgeable guide, broke all my tipping rules. Everything you always wanted to see.

The two days we spent in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea and Masada were not what was promised. Our guides were nice but very inexperienced. They could not keep our small group together nor were there explanations of what we were seeing. In Jerusalem we walked through the market with no time to stop or to have lunch. I don’t think anyone was given the significance of the Western Wall. As we got to Bethlehem, once again there was no time to stop to eat. We barely had time to walk through the church.
The second day was not any better. Our bus driver was late and then had to stop to get gas for the bus. That was totally unacceptable! Masada was very crowded (through no fault of the tour company) but we were not offered a chance to see the movie presentation which might have helped people understand the significance of the site. Our tour guide was no where to be found once we got to the top. We turned around and took the cable car down. One of the guides decided it would be better to walk down, not knowing how long it would take. That delayed us over an hour.
We only had enough time to dip our toes in the Dead Sea.
I would not consider using this company.

I was part of a large group that booked 3 days of tours way in advance! I have taken over 100 bus tours! These 3 days were by far the WORST tours I have ever been on or had to endure! The busses were late picking us up each day, the tour guide’s were obviously inexperienced and had no idea what they were doing! For example: would walk and talk to only a small group of people and would not wait for the rest of the group to tell information about the location! Many times would be already walking off before the rest of the group had even reached where he stopped! The bus driver was the worst! He screamed on his phone constantly the first day! Stopped on the side of the road to get snacks from the overhead bins 10 mins after we had just left a location! Safety was not even in his mind! We had to stop to get gas! I’ve never had a bus not filled and ready for the entire day! Stop for gas??? THEN he lights a cigarette and walks around the bus, up to the pumps, moves the gas hose and walks between the two pumps! I thought for sure we were all going to be blown up right there! There were NO SMOKING signs everywhere!
The day in Bethlehem we stopped at a store and had to wait for the guides and bus driver to show up so we could go to the most important location in that area! 5 minutes after we get started we are told we have to get off the bus and walk because the bus will never get us to the church in time before it closed! We basically had to run uphill in the dark! When we arrived we were rushed through the church because it was closing! Why didn’t we go to the church first??? Then to the store? Extremely poor planning on the tour planning!
I had been to the Holy Land before and took the ships tours and saw WAY more than than these 3 day private tours offered! I definitely recommend you find another tour group!

My friend & I were looking forward to this 3 day tour! We had this cruise booked for over a year & were with the group of 2 buses. The 2 guides we had on our bus were nice but not very knowledgeable at all. We also did not receive the headsets they promised.Their time management was horrible. We constantly had to remind them of the time so we could get to all the sites we were supposed to go to. The bus driver stopped & got gas & I watched as he would stop it every couple euros then restart. It took over 25 minutes to gas up! We were late to most of the sites, so we had to rush through! The float in the Dead Sea turned out to be a “dip your toe in the water”. One day there was no time or stop for food, so my friend & I had Mike & Ike’s we brought with a little water. Most people were afraid to drink much water because we didn’t know when the next bathroom stop would be. With the heat & humidity, we got so dehydrated because of this. This was definitely not the tour I was hoping for! I wouldn’t recommend this tour.

The guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The old city of Jerusalem was great. We opted to take the extended trip to the Dead Sea. Extra money with shower facilities that were poor. Beach area small. I guess it was worth it say I floated in the Dead Sea but would never do it again. Also it added to the length of the time on the road which was long enough, at least and hour each way from the port to Jerusalem. On the down side the mini-bus was cramped, 2 seats across, and aisle, and a one seat row. If you are big, I am 5' 11", 260 lbs., you will be uncomfortable in the two across especially if sharing with another large person. Also, this company does not use the radio transmit to earphone technology. You have to be right up with the guide to hear what she says, which is hard for close to 20 people to do walking through the crowded Jerusalem streets.

Hello, I am very excited to take this tour! I am wondering how this tour is communicated to the attendees and by that I mean does just the tour guide speak or do you provide head-phones? Also, do you have a paper printed out version of what the tour guide will be saying?
The reason for these questions is that I am 90% deaf. I wear hearing aides as well as read lips, and am able to hear and understand quite well. I generally do not do well with headphones.

Good Morning, Planning a trip to Israel via cruise ship in November of 2019. We will be docked at two ports for 5 days Haifa for two and Ashdod for three. This is a private company. I tried to provide links for you but this appears not to be allowed. Just do a google search for Guided Tours Israel. You can see their shore excursions and there is also an email link available. They are very quick to respond.
