Go! Ride a bike! Be adventurous!
I thoroughly enjoyed my bike tour. We saw temples and locations I hadnā€™t seen even after living in Mandalay for 5 months! Our guide was knowledgeable and cognizant of out physical abilities. After our tour I frequented several of the tour stops the following 5 months in Mandalay.

      Breathtaking sunset view
On a boat in Myamar , this was one of the highlights of the trip. Arrived early as it gets very busy with tourists .

      Very Nice Tour
This was a good way to get out of Mandalay and see some of the life outside the city and some nice historic sites as well. Bike ride easy going - as advertised - so no worries if you are not a hardcore cyclist. The guide, a young man named Linn, did a very nice job - he was enthusiastic, flexible, knowledgeable, and spoke very good English, which he was eager to take to the next level. This was my second tour with Grasshopper (previously did one in Bagan) and they are well organized and easy to work with.

Great guide, good equipment and very professional. Worth the money
We had a fantastic afternoon doing the U Bein Bridge Sunset Cycling Day Tour from Mandalay. We saw so many different things and the trip was exactly how it was described ending the day on the river with the sunset at the bridge. I have to mention our guide who was superb Wai Linn Aung a young lad who was so enthusiatic about what he did, the places he took us and his knowledge was great too. My wife hadn't been on a bike for over 20 years and she managed and loved it too. Thanks again Grasshopper and we will use your services again the next time we are in one of your locations!!

      Mandalay Morning and Sunset Tours
We did both the morning and sunset tours in Mandalay. In the morning, Than Htike Aung took us out to the market where we snacked on some delicious local food before heading out to the coutryside. It was quite a hot ride with little shade. The countryside was still mostly on the main bitumen roads so it wasn't so much the scenery that captivated us, as much as the workshops and seeing the traditional ways people continue to process goods. Than was a great, friendly and cheerful guide. He always checked up on us and gave information as we were cycling. In the afternoon tour, the van dropped us off out of town before we started cycling. We were very lucky to see one of the novice processions with children on horses, cows, and even an elephant! Wai Linn Aung was our guide for this segment as we cycled through the ancient city of Inwa. We stopped at some traditional family homes and he would explain how the families conduct their trade. It was an interesting, relaxing and shady ride while we visited the less touristy sites of Inwa and wound our way to Ubein bridge for a sunset boat ride. For both Mandalay tours the paths were easy to cycle and all relatively flat. However, the afternoon ride was a bit more pleasant as there was more shade and scenice views throughout. Surprisingly, there was no overlap between the morning and afternoon tours so they were equally interesting and definitely not touristy (besides the sunset boat ride at Ubein bridge). Would highly recommend a cycle with Grasshoppers. Two tours in a day was quite tiring though. If I were to choose only one, the afternoon was more enjoyable.

      Half day, sunset bike ride
I deliberated before booking this as it seemed a little pricey compared to other experiences I've done in Asia. However, we booked it based on the glowing reviews on here and I'm so glad we did. Our guide Wai Linn Aung was a total pro. Giving us info on the local villages, and accommodating our request to stop for some food. He led us through beautiful countryside and villages which really felt off the beaten track. People greeted us warmly and talked us through their local trades. The tour ended with beers on a boat watching sunset over U Bein bridge. Great bikes too!

A deferent way to see Mandalay
A great way to get out of the city and see the lovely countryside surrounding Mandalay. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we really enjoyed our time chatting with him. The visits to local farms and tea houses were the highlights.

Cycied from Mandalay to Bagan, Then from Bagan to Salay with Grasshopper.
A fantastic experience. We have cycled most Countries in Asia and this was by far one of the best. Beautiful and interesting. Our guide YeYe was fantastic. He was fun, full of knowledge and extremely attentive. The ride from Mandalay, stopping at Mt Popa and ending with a full afternoon cycle around Bagan was awesome. I would suggest everyone ride a bicycle around Bagan. It is the right tempo to really absorb the magic of the place. The ride to Salay was wonderful too. Learned so much about Village industry and life. I would highly recommend both Trips. In fact I would highly recommend seeking out Ye Ye as your guide when in Bagan.

Donā€™t miss this opportunity- will be the highlight of your stay in Mandalay!
This is a fantastic way to see some of the smaller villages and understand all the great work they do to make a living. Our tour guide was Lyn and he was fantastic. The finale of the sunset at U Bein bridge was remarkable and this tour was the highlight of our stay in Mandalay! Would highly recommend!

      Half day bike tour
EXCELLENT! The guide was amazingly professional - 10 points out od 10: knowledgable, caring (the road was not always easy, full of deep sand and holes) and fun. He took me to a few gorgeous temples and shared very interesting historical facts related to the landmarks during our tour. His knowledge was impressive and he was able to answer every question! He took very good care of me (snack and lunch breaks were provided by the agency and the food was delicious) and set the pace so that I could easily catch up with him without gasping for breath. Water and a very comfortable bike was provided as well. The only downside was that when I arrived at the meeting point at the agreed time 7:45 AM no one was there - the agency was closed and I had to reach out to the ops manager myself and ask if it was cancelled or what else was happening. No big deal, don't mind starting later but it would have been nice if such things were communicated in advance by the agency, so that I didn't need to wait or wonder. The guide appeared after 15-20 minutes and we took off (the earlier tour stretched a bit). And since then, it was great. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE, GROUPS, COUPLES AND SOLO TRAVELLERS!!! :)

      fine tour - bad preparation
We had a great tour with our guide San. It was very interesting to meet and hear about the farmers and villagers and cycle in the countryside. Highly recommended. It was also my second trip booked via tripadvisor. Unfortunately when I had booked the tour, it didn't inform about where to meet. It just said Mandalay - so I had to contact Grasshopper via Whatsapp to get the specific dates.

This is how you see real Myanmar
We had a great time cycling through Myanmar countryside and temples meeting local people doing their job on the way. Our guide Lin made our tour very fascinating and authentic. Sunset cruise by U Bein bridge ended our day in best possible way. Highly recommend!

      Great way to see Mandalay
This tour was great. Highly recommend. The cycling was not hard. I only wish I had brought a GoPro for on-the-move photography because I kept wanting to stop and take photos along the way. Our guide, Linn, was excellent. We unfortunately didn't have time to walk on the U Bein bridge after the sunset boat ride. That would me my one suggestion to the guides.

If you like a bit of adventure and most of all getting away from other tourists then take this tour!
My guide Sam was great, answering all of my questions, showing me the best photo spots, introducing me to locals and translating.
The bike trip is really fun, but you should be comfortable riding a mountain bike and have same basic skills - trails and bridges are narrow, thatā€™s what makes it even more fun!
Food was great, the Kajak tour a chilled ending to the tour.
Sam even arranged for the boat to have me dropped off at my hotel.
    Highly recommended!

This was our third trip with Grasshopper, and weā€™ve never been disappointed. The quality of the experience, condition of the equipment and the service of the friendly guides has always been top notch. On this particular trip Zay Yar and Aung guided us to local villages and through a bamboo forest. There were 2 connections by boat. The ā€œsnackā€ and lunch stops were delicious. And we ended the day with a kayak tour of Nam Pan. The trip was exactly as described - no surprises. The only additional comment I would make is that while the ride was flat and not particularly technical, your child should be comfortable riding a mountain and navigating a single track.

    Oh what an amazing day!
If you want to discover the real life around Inle Lake beyond the tourist tracks, then sign up for this tour. Grasshoppers Adventures are amazing. The description of the tour as described by Grasshoppers is spot on, so I won't go through it again.
We were looking for a full day of activities, with a chance to be taken down roads we would have never found ourselves, and this is exactly what we did.
We had done something similar in Cambodia the year before so had a fair idea of what to expect, and we were not disappointed. The beauty of this tour is that it is designed for small groups. Chris and I (from London) were joined by Paul and Isabelle (from Sydney) and all 4 of us not only enjoyed the tour, but also shared tips on other things we had done during our respective holidays.
Our guide was fab. He spoke very good English and told us so much about the real life of Burmese people. So interesting!
The snacks in the morning were amazing. So many different dishes, all home made and served fresh. Lunch was just as delicious and in all honesty, the food we ate on that day was the best food we had during our entire 2 week stay in Myanmar. We got to see people at work, kids at school, farmers working the land, and all this in beautiful peaceful surroundings.
Do not miss it, it is so so good.
Bonus point for Grasshoppers: we didn't even have to arrange for a transfer back to our hotel at the end of the day. They simply dropped us off. 10 out 10 all the way!
