Overview

Navigating Japan’s public transport system can often be a daunting task. Let a guide do the work for you on this tour of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi by coach and bullet train, which saves you hours in travel time. Ascend to the Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station; ride on the Komagatake Ropeway, one of Japan’s highest aerial tramways; and take a cruise on Lake Ashi, part of Hakone National Park.

What to Expect
The day begins with a 2.5-hour coach journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mt. Fuji, recognizable by its iconic snow-capped peak. On arrival, you’ll ascend to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station—located halfway up the mountain at 7,545 feet (2,300 meters)—and absorb unobstructed views of Mt. Fuji’s Five Lakes.

Following Fuji’s 5th Station, you’ll have time to purchase food, or, if you’ve upgraded, enjoy a traditional Japanese lunch (if you select the "+ Lunch" option at checkout). Then, head into Hakone National Park by coach and take a short sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi.

Your final stop is the summit of Mt. Komagatake, reachable by Komagatake Ropeway, one of Japan’s highest aerial tramways. During the ride, enjoy more spectacular views and take a stroll along a mountain trail at the top.

Return to Tokyo by bullet train.

Excellent!!!

Highly recommend this tour!! Lots to see. Kept it moving. Great guide, friendly and informative. We were stuck in traffic a lot but not the tour’s fault. Long weekend traffic.

Waste of money

This trip is a waste of time and money. There has to be better tours. Why this fails to tell you is a majority of your day is spent in a bus. We travelled for about 6hrs our of the 10 in a bus. Leaving...More

Not worth the price

Mt fuji not visible. Bullet train ride too short. All in all I dont think this worth the price. While I must mention that the tour guide and the entire trip is managed well but give this a miss.

My fuji

Trip is too short. Only 30 minutes at Mt fuji is not enough time to enjoy the place. Had to really rush every place. Most of the time for the whole day was spent on bus travelling to places instead of spending time at destination.

Review of Mt Fuji

Unfortunately, I and two others who were traveling with me, were unable to find the bus at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. We asked the hotel when checking in the night before and they told us the bus would be outside the lobby. The following morning...More

you must ask the tour operator. But my thoughts on the question part two is, No, they will not be able to seperate the pickup times at different locations at Fuji-san.
