Badly organised, chaotic, very little snorkeling time
Booked the island hopping trip through the Henann hotel Alona beach. They say in their directory not to use the locals at the beach as they can scam you. However we were then charged double for mask rental and virgin island fees, all were supposed to be included in the price from our hotel. If you are looking for an amazing snorkelling trip this is not for you. Our trip took 5 hours door to door (the hotel is only 10mins away), but we probably had around 15 minutes of decent snorkeling time. I’m not including the frenzy of tourists and boats that were absolute carnage on balicasag island. So many boats and snorkellers made it impossible to move. When we did try and escape we were told to move back to ‘our area’. If you tried to dive down you could easily hit your head when coming back up to surface on the boats. We did ask our boat guy to take us somewhere a bit quieter to see the turtles, which he did and that was the best bit. Shame the whole trip wasn’t like that. Just really poorly organised.

The 10000 Roses Garden Total Con
Don't waste your time visiting the 10000 roses garden in Cebu. Not only is it very expensive to get there, it's a total con. There are artificial roses spread out in an area one eighth the size of a soccer field. Essentially Filipino kitch. The con is to attract you to a mediocre restaurant next to it. I'd say forget it, totally unmentionable experience

It says "You'll get picked up " - that does not mean they will pick you up.
I wanted to book this trip quickly as it was late and the trip was to depart the following day. I read on the Tripadvisor Ad "You'll get picked up" and assumed that meant they would pick us up at AT THE HOTEL! The ad is misleading. It also says "all-Inn" which does not mean all inclusive of hotel pick up which is implied when "all in " is mentioned - again misleading advertising. I have asked for a refund but naturally, I have not heard back. We ended up doing the same trip using information provided by the hotel staff and ended up having a great day on our own which I would highly recommend. So basically we paid twice for this trip which meant we had to forgo another planned trip two day later. My advice is 1. Ask locals for directions and simply go to the port in Cebu and make your way by ferry to Bohol. There are dozens of cars waiting to drive you around in luxury and stopping where you want to stop for as long as you like. 2. Ask the locals for advice and directions - they are wonderful. Bohol is beautiful and you wont regret the visit.

What A Day of Sea, Sun, Sand and some sea cucumber 🤩
It's a must try for me but first be mindful of some things: 1) wake up really, really early if you want to see the dolphins and not race with other boats just to see them up close 2) know the inclusions of what you paid for (they were trying to make us pay for the snorkeling gear and good thing I checked that one) 3) know what you want to do (The driver will just take you to the designated places) so it will be up to you how long you stay in one place. We stayed quite awhile in Virgin Islands and it was interesting to experience the weather changing almost every 5 minutes. 4) Spice up your tour. We did the "eating challenge" where we tried exotic fresh sea food like sea urchin and sea cucumber.. They are still moving but it made our trip more exciting. I'm glad that we had the freedom with our time that's why we had a chance to really enjoy each of the activity that we did with my fam.

      Firefly watching
We were very excited to experience and see for ourselves the firefly watching. It was a long wait because we have to wait until night time. We took a banca and was instructed to be quiet. The banca came to a halt and we waited. It was pitch dark and suddenly in front of us appeared seemingly tiny christmas lights. It was a thrill when the fireflies were in our shoulders in the banca. We stopped to three places and all were firefly-lighted by trees. Awesome sight!
