Great Experience and Guide

We (family with 2 teenagers 17 and 15) had a great experience on this remote island tour. Helpful instructions on how to kayak at the start and a guide that was very open to questions and who knew a lot of answers during the tour. About the environment, flora/fauna, history...The experience felt relaxed, remote from tourism yet also with enough adventure for the boys ( cliff jumping/snorting/kayaking on its own). The guide made pictures which we received afterwards. Great memories, thank you!

Great tour with even better views

Alex is a great guy and is extremely knowledgeable about the area. The scenery in Tolo is gorgeous and a nice change of scenery from Nafplio despite only being a 23 minute drive south. He is very experienced and is a certified kayak instructor and we felt very safe if something were to have happened during our trip. We would definitely book with Panexpeditions again! Highly recommended.

Beautiful Unique Kayak Tour !

We had an incredible day Kayaking, learning and enjoying ourselves on this amazing expedition!! Alexis our awesome fun loving tour guide/kayak expert took us around the islands of Tolo, explaining the history of the surrounding area and showing us passageways, caves and piratebays that played strategic roles back in the day. We jumped off rocks, climbed to the top of one of the islands, and even did a bit of thalassotherapy with red clay coming from another island's ground stone. With his directions we picked up the paddling very easily. He really wanted us to feel comfortable and carefree and was genuinely happy to go with our flow. Kayak expert or not this trip is for the adventure seekers and explorers! To add to the magic of the journey, the route was particularly chosen so that we have the wind on our back during the return which gave us a little push and a little wave riding to keep the excitement till the end.. It was truly a beautiful fun and unique tour inside the crystal blue waters of the gulf!! Highly recomend it and thank you Alex for showing us an amazing time !!!

A wonderful day on the water in Greece

My friends and I kayaked with Alex and Pan last week while staying near Nafplio and had a great day on the water. We kayaked to 3 islands off of Tolo Beach and enjoyed listening to the local history, seeing sea caves, swimming in a secluded cove, hiking to a small church with amazing views and snorkeling in the clear waters. We also stopped at a beach for fresh fruit and snacks. What made this trip wonderful was the enthusiasm and engagement of Alex and Pan. They were so much fun to spend time with and you can tell they love doing the tours. They also took amazing pictures of us the whole time so that we didn't have to worry about getting the perfect shot. They shared the pictures with us later that day on Google drive so that we could save an access all that we wanted to. What a nice touch. Even if you are a beginner kayaker, they make you feel safe and the paddle is totally do-able. Thanks Pan and Alex for a great day!

Fabulous team, fabulous fun, fabulous views

My kayak trip was one of the top highlights of my trip to Nafplio this summer. The whole process of scheduling, coordinating, explaining and equipping was smooth and professional. The actual kayaking was bliss - with the blue/green sea, leisurely pace, wonderfully-friendly and sea-expert team, who could have imagined anywhere better to be? I took the trip alone, and was thoughtfully asked whether I would prefer taking a solo kayak or doubling up with one of PanExpedition's experts. I chose to go double and my partner in crime was Thanos - a superb guide, and great companion. He spoke perfect English and added many interesting facts about the gorgeous places we visited along the tour. In fact the whole team is a great bunch of people - with expert knowledge of the sea, the region and, of course, kayaks in particular. Everyone is so friendly, that when we sat down for a break to eat cold melon, watermelon and homemade cake (brought by Alex et al), it was as if we had all known each other for ages. Definitely recommend this activity for children and adults alike. Thank you PanExpeditions for an incredible adventure!

Don’t hesitate, just book it.
Saw this on TA when we were reviewing places in Tolo. Booked online through Viator and received frequent updating emails to confirm. As we got closer to date, we received joining instructions and recommendations for what we needed to bring from Alex, the owner.

On the day, there was two of us, a Russian family of three and Alex. After a short ‘how to paddle’, safety briefing and setting the kayaks up, we were off in two person kayaks with the Russian mum in a single kayak.

Alex, as a certified kayaking trainer, provided ongoing recommendations to improve our paddling to overcome a slight cross wind. He also stated that if we capsized, we only had to hold onto our sunglasses as the rest would float and he would sort out everything including getting us back into the kayak.

After a while, we landed on a small rocky beach where we daubed ourselves in mud apparently to make us look younger and leave us with smoother skin 🤔 We then paddled to Daskalio where we walked up to the church.
Normally, Alex would provide something to eat here but as there was another pleasure boat moored we paddled across to Romvi and had melons and cake (not gluten free).

The tour then paddled round the far side of Romvi where the wind was a little stronger before heading back to Tolo when the water became mill pond flat.

My other half wasn’t sure she would enjoy the paddling, but Alex said, she’d be fine and she was.

All in all, a great day (we were out c5hrs) and very easily recommended.

Having read other reviews (look for Pan Expeditions under Nafplio) , where Alex also goes, if we end back in a similar area, we would definitely re-book for another experience with Alex. After the day, we received via email, a link to get the photos both Alex had taken during the day, but also by us as he lent us waterproof cameras to use.

Wonderful from start to end

As first time sea-kayakers we were hugely reassured by Alex's calm professionalism and felt safe and happy throughout the tour, despite a slightly windy return to port. The whole experience was joyful; from the stories about the ancient forts, the natural mud face-mask, cliff-jumping and swimming in the beautiful clear seas near Tolo. We enjoyed the day from beginning to end and went home, tired, a little sun-burned but very happy ! Thank you Alex.

We came to Nafplio for the weekend and our tour with Alex was definitely the highlight!!! ♡
We had the chance to visit secluded "secrets" of the area with our sea kayaks, learn lots of historical information from this amazing "history teacher" and most of all, have an unforgettable experience! We highly recommend Alex's services and companionship :) thank you for everything and we are already looking forward to returning for more sea expeditions!!!

A Highlight of our trip to the Peloponnese!

Our full day sea kayak adventure combined the remote islands around Tolo and castle tours into Nafplion. Alex, our guide could not have been more professional, helpful, informative and fun as we explored and learned about the area. The kayaks and gear were of excellent quality and we especially enjoyed snorkelling in Pirate Bay and the authentic Greek lunch on the beach. Our trip was a great way to see Tolo to Nafplio from the water and we highly recommend this trip; you will not be disappointed! Thank you Alex for a most memorable day!!
