Worse experience ever

Worse company I ever saw! They could help you with anything, they cancel your flight without notice, they don’t help you to find another one, the attendants doesn’t help you with anything they just want to be free of you and that’s it. I’ll never fly again with Spirit!

Wonderful experience

Newark - Las VegasDomestic

It will be 30 years since I have flown. The flight to and from Las Vegas was so Smooth. Ironically I had the same friendly pilot and Stewart. My fear of flying was after an emergency landing so many years ago which is what kept me back. I am greatful to have had such a wonderful flight. The staff were friendly and upbeat. Thank you for making me think about doing it again.

Spirit tampers with scales to charge you extra. Spirit loses your checked bag.

Miami - ChicagoDomestic

Spirit people at the Miami airport tamper with the scales to charge you an overweight fee. I took a LATAM flight to Miami, my checked bag weighted at 39.5 pounds, Checked in with spirit, magically, my bag weighted 56 pounds! the rude old woman charged me $125 dollars for a 6 pound overage in weight and guess what? Spirit LOST MY BAG! ON A DIRECT FLIGHT! After taking their sweet time to find it, they shipped it to me via fedex, the funniest part is that when spirit weight my bag again to create the shipping label, they said it was 40lbs! confirming the old woman at the airport had tampered with the scale! After finally getting my bag 3 days after arriving in Chicago, I called to get a refund on the overage, and they offered me a THIRTY DOLLAR VOUCHER! Never flying again with them, it's embarrassing that a company can be so rude and unprofessional.

This airline lifted my SPIRIT!

Fort Lauderdale - New York CityDomestic

Went to attend a funeral and was pleasantly surprised by the charming and engaging staff. They turned an otherwise horrendous occasion into a pleasant experience.

Never fly Spirit Airlines

WOW! I have never been treated worse from an airline than from Spirit. I traveled out of the country and the flight attendant broke the entire extendable handle on my carry-on to the point it then had to be checked. I asked how to file a claim and get reimbursed and they gave me a website link but offered no further insight. I attempted to call multiple times to get help in next steps and was hung up on. From there I had the most disrespectful experience talking to the virtual representative I was FINALLY able to get a hold of 3 weeks later and they blamed everything on me. Claiming the flight attendants don't know things like that and I needed to go to someone else, but my question is WHY don't they help direct us to who can actually help? Instead they said I needed to know these things from memory instead of actually being helpful and offering resources. Definitely showed me they don't care about their customers because everything falls back on them, not Spirit Airlines. I was mans-plained how "all airlines work" and that I didn't do things right when all I kept trying to do was get help from anyone I could representing them. Awful experience and even worse staff.
