Qatar's service on the Rome-Doha and Doha-Manila legs was nowhere near 'award winning'. On the Rome-Doha leg, the meal that I asked for was not available. I was informed that if I wanted the meal of my choice (from the menu) I should book in advance. Seriously? Then why show me a menu on board the aircraft at all? On the Doha-Manila leg, I was told that both the main course and dessert that I wanted were not available. The crew obviously did not seem to bother about the state of the toilets. They were filthy. The waste bins were overflowing and nobody had cared to empty them - this is also true of an earlier flight (in June) that I took to Oslo. Overall, a dismal experience. I was glad to get off the plane in Manila.

they have a BAD customer service. More than a year, i am following with them to refund my father payment for his ticket as he passed away and I sent all paper that they need but no response just excuses. This is disappointing for Qatar Airways, given their long history. They have not been able to resolve my case to refund me for my father's seat, and so far, I have not received any calls from them only false promises.

The flight from Aberdeen via heathrow and Doha to Melbourne was actually good. The problems started when we arrived in Melbourne. One of our three bags had gone missing somewhere along the way. We were told that they normally find missing baggage within 24 hours and forward it to your hotel. It didnt show up at all so I had to replace all of the clothes, shoes etc as well as the suitcase. So as well as the expense of replacing everything it meant that the first 2 days of the holiday were spent shopping. My suitcase was eventually returned to me 3 weeks after I returned home. I am still trying to get some sort of compensation from the airline, who are being very evasive. They are refusing to go forward with my claim as I haven't got a delivery note for the returned suitcase which was just left on my doorstep. The suitcase is showing as returned on their website! As well as the lost luggage, the return flight from Melbourne was cancelled. When we got to the airport to fly home we were informed that the flight was cancelled and just given a QR code which linked to a whatsapp message. We were left hanging on for about 12 hours before we were informed what time the rescheduled flight would be. Due to the reschedule we were rerouted to Dublin instead of Heathrow airport. When we arrived in Dublin we were informed that the flight from dublin to Aberdeen had also been cancelled. We eventually arrived back at Aberdeen 36 hours later than we should. When I contacted Qatar airlines for compensation I was dismissed with the comment "Flight cancellations are beyond their control and that flight times are not guaranteed" Customer service is almost entirely dealt with via whatsapp messages or email. When I did find someone to actually talk to they were very dismissive. One representative told me that if I didnt like the options available for the return flight (which involved around 6 hours of additional bus transfer) I should cancel the flight a go and sort my own flights out. I will never be flying anywhere with this airline again.

This is the second time that Qatar have given dreadful customer service. They change their aircraft continually, and so your seat booking no longer stands. The website they send you the link to doesn't work, so when you try to check in, you can't because your seat booking is no longer there. Customer service has such a ridiculous security process asking questions that you can't answer (what date that the tickets were issued - they were booked through a travel agent). Any updates on their website do not save, and therefore you can't actually get through their security. Staff are rude, ill informed and disinterested. They won't speak to the travel agent. The most frustrating 5 hours just to book seats that had been previously booked. This is the second time this has happened, and they make you feel very unvalued as a customer.

We recently flew w/ Qatar Airways. We've traveled the World 20+ yrs & this was our WORST airline traveling experience ever!! Our Economy Premium Seats were booked & paid for 10 months in advance, were changed by Qatar (without our consent & NO notification) who moved us separately to the planes tail. We found out that Qatar placed bidding on our seats for higher prices and sold them to other passengers - very deceiving, untrustworthy and greedy airline! Also, poor in flight service w/attitudes, rudeness and arrogance! Food was horrible! Smelly and dirty plane! It was clear to us that Qatar Airways has NO RESPECT and NO CARE for their customers! Our warning to others - DO NOT FLY WITH QATAR AIRWAYS - USE OTHERS!!
