This weekend market reminds me of what we call in the Philippines as "tiangge" only that it is much more a maze and sells wider range of products from your usual clothes, shoes, accessories and souvenirs to bit less usual vintage items, used books and clothes, voodoo dolls. I say it's a maze because I got in, I practically lost all my little sense of direction but wonderfully ended up enjoying the experience nonetheless - most likely because I had plenty of time and was just checking interesting stuff with nothing in particular to shop.
However, I suggest that if you have limited time to spare and know beforehand what kinds of items you want to check out, get a map at the entrance and use your locating skills so you can make shopping more targeted. Try going there early in the morning (between 9am-12nn) as the place eventually gets crowded. No need to worry about getting hungry or thirsty because there are plenty of food stalls and sporadically, even some cafes within the vicinity.
