I felt like I was floating..it was so quiet, I felt my whole body relaxed and time stood still...
MT GAINOR INN is an enchanting 100 year old farm house resting high on a hill with relaxing 360 degree hill country views. We invite you to take a break for a quiet intimate get away from the city or a gathering of friends and family. We specalize in women's retreats and welcome Scrap Booking, Quilting Groups, Cycling clubs, social or business gatherings and Wimberley Market Day treckers.
We held our sales meeting here with 6 RSM's and it was fantastic!! We had breakfast and lunch catered and we rented the whole house. It was PERFECT for our purpose - we had an informal, yet more intimate setting for the sales team to all strategize, plan and bond. Each night we went out locally to the; Salt Lick, Dreamland, the Sudsmonkey, the Barbershop and Lake LBJ etc.... The house itself, the location, the catering, and the fun surroundings were all outstanding and we accomplished our goals and then some !! Highly recommend the Mt. Gainor Inn for fun or business.

Beautiful and peaceful place. If you are looking for rest and relaxation this is the place to be. Our cottage was beautiful and perfectly clean. The landscape was spectacular, serene and the quiet was like no other. We loved our time here and will definitely come back.

We found EXACTLY what we were looking for in Mt. Gainor Inn!! We came in from the Austin airport with no problems! Easy to get to and what a beautiful drive through the hill country! Our accommodations were comfortable and cozy. The outdoor space is perfect for relaxing too! Laurie cooks the MOST delicious breakfast in the world!! From sausage and eggs, breakfast tacos, and homemade bread for avocado/egg toast, it was all such a treat! Oh and her juices are drool worthy!! We will be back hopefully sooner than later!!

Highly recommend the Mt Gainor in for a weekend away from it all. The room was decorated beautifully. The property is very clean and well maintained. So peaceful and quite! Definitely not an experience you can get in the city. Watching the sun set over the hillcountry from our room and relaxing under the stars in the hot tub really allowed my wife and I to relax.

We were looking for a socially distanced stay near Dripping Springs and this fit the bill perfectly. It's about a 15 drive from the town, located in charming Hill Country scenery. We enjoyed the Mt Laurel cottage, spacious and everything worked well. We had contactless check in and check out. Sitting on the hammock in the afternoon was a treat. Thanks for the enjoyable stay!

The host, Jerry, was wonderful, cheerful, very hospitable. The room was great. The drive up to the Mt. Gainor Inn was very scenic. The grounds and the views were peaceful and quiet. It had been a very long time since the wife and I had been able to get away from all the noise of regular every day life and enjoy the peaceful, calming, sounds of nothing but gentle breezes and birds singing. We enjoyed our stay and met some great folks. I hope, during your stay, the host serves the Crescent Roll French Toast with fresh fruit and all the fixings for breakfast, it'll be an unexpected surprise.

We had a lovely stay here. We were late arriving but Jerry greeted us with a smile. He's very knowledgeable about the area and gave us suggestions on where to visit and dine. Jerry was the cook and breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the Side Oats Cottage. It was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfy, the a/c worked well and there was a nice selection of teas and coffee. The only drawback that may concern those who like their privacy, is that there is no bathroom door. We would definitely stay here again, but would probably choose one of the other rooms that Jerry was so kind to show us.

My wife and I had a great stay. Jerry’s hospitality was above and beyond. He knew every customer’s name, which makes him even friendlier. The room was rustic and fun. My only criticism is there is no door where the toilet is. So, the whole bathroom is wide open. Not enough of an issue to make. We had breakfast and Jerry made a great spread, definitely helped with the previous nights adventures! I would highly recommend.

We enjoyed a relaxing and fun weekend at the Inn while in town for a wedding. The room was comfortable and charming. The highlight was fantastic French toast and sausage - a hit with our whole group. The hosts were gracious and the countryside perfect for our after brunch walk.

I love this place! We stayed there years ago and were so excited to come back. Off the beaten path, quiet, peaceful, and a relaxed, home away from home feel. We booked the entire Mt Gainor Inn for our intimate wedding weekend, and it was perfect to have all of our parents and us in one place throughout the weekend. We were able to use the common area for a nice Friday night dinner and for our brunch wedding, which was ideal for our 50 guests. It was the exact setting we hoped for. Laurie and Jerry made the delicious food and really worked with us to make it special. Breakfast was so good too. They are such wonderful people, in a way they feel like family now! We added our decorative touches outside for the wedding. The rooms were selected specifically with our parents in mind and everyone had nothing but great things to say. A few of the rooms do have a more open bathroom layout, which they were able to adjust to it. They enjoyed the unique characteristics and decor in the rooms, and really enjoyed not having to go back and forth to a hotel in town. H-E-B is not far from the inn, so we were able to grab snacks and miscellaneous last-minute items for the wedding. Overall, I am so happy we chose to have the wedding there and hope we can come back again soon!…
