We stayed in the Gazebo with amazing views. Relaxing on the verandah we watched the ships come in and unload their goods onto the jetty, and that is an experience in itself. The accommodation was clean and the facilities were everything that you would want for a home away from home experience.

We were suitably impressed with views over Cascade. Owner Ariane said promised phone appeared to be out of credit but we could buy some (!!) from town. Office in town said the number had expired months ago - last credit applied in January. Advertised midstay clean never eventuated. No ice in freezer no handwash in bathroom container. TV in bedrooms not working "electrician coming Wednesday" - never happened. Toaster/Microwave broken. More attention to detail required in a property promising/charging so much.

Forrester Court was a lovely place to be - we valued the gorgeous views from the cliff top perspective, and our very well equipped, comfortable home, where we had all the equipment/mod cons we needed. We appreciated being met at the airport and given a quick orientation tour before we began exploring the island ourselves, in the car that was provided for our use. The island is expensive, because of its remoteness, and this is reflected in the costs of this accommodation. Access to Forrester's Court is via some amazingly potholed, albeit short, stretches of the island's roads - but nowhere is far away on Norfolk, and we liked the retreat-like location. The island is a fascinating place to visit in so many ways, historically and culturally, and we warmly recommend the personalised half day tour with resident Rachel Nebauer as a starting place.

We stayed at the Clifftop Cottage and the view was absolutely beautiful. The location gives you the feel of seclusion and tranquility. (you will need a car to get about, as the cottage is a fair hike from the village center - but not to worry, the car hire is included in the price of your stay) A breakfast hamper was provided and top-ups were not a problem if we ran out of anything. The cottage feels modern, open and bright - just a delight to stay in, and we did not want to leave the cottage to go explore the island as our view was just perfect! (but we did, Norfolk Island is a hidden treasure that needs to be explored). Ariane, our host was lovely to deal with and is a wealth of knowledge and information. We received a quick tour of the Island after Ariane picked us up from the airport and was only to happy to help out in any way we needed. This Clifftop Cottage is a must stay if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this stay is a treat for the soul....why not, you only live once!

What a stunning location! We spent 7 days enjoying the tranquility, bird watching & relaxing between our excursions across the beautiful island. The Mitsubishi outlander was used daily. We had booked Forrester Court with the expectation of luxury accommodation, as it was a special wedding anniversary for us. We were terribly disappointed. We stayed in the Gazebo & it was obvious it hadn't been aired recently. We expected being luxury accommodation there would have been a welcoming bowl of fruit/chocolates/bubbles , but nothing. There were no bathrobes or slippers. Toiletries were very limited. The breakfast basket was basic, no fruit, no honey & no gluten free options were offered. The dehumidifier was full, the bathroom bin was half full of who knows what, there was an ants nest in the kettle, only half the toaster worked, 1 of the lounge chairs needed repairing. There was no in-house dining, (none offered anyway) no bar services offered ( this would be ideal given the distance from the town centre) no golf course & an unusable tennis court.

The High Tea at Forrester Court on Norfolk Island is a heavenly experience in which diners are perched on a cliff top almost touching the clouds, breathing in the pristine surrounds. The food is absolutely divine presented immaculately and served with warmth and genuine care by Ariana. In short, the High Tea at Forrester Court is a must do for all visitors. Ariana is only too happy to tweak the visit for special occasions, and for us it was my mum’s 80th birthday. The experience was intoxicating and one which will forever remain etched in our memories.

A great holiday and superb accomodation. We were warmly met at the airport and the paperwork required was completed quickly and efficiently. After a quick Island orientation by Ariane, we were left to our own devices. Beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. The "cottage" was well presented and comfortable.

There is absolutely nothing that you will need if you stay at the Clifftop Cottage (except for an umbrella if it rains when you head out). Extremely spacious cottage with huge balcony to have breakfast and enjoy the view and the sound of the ocean. Everything is provided. Beautiful grounds and the feeling of privacy on the clifftop. Brad is very accommodating - just ask for any tips or advice.

We had a lovely time staying in the Gazebo cottage overlooking Cascade Pier. Very well appointed with everything one would need for a stay of 7 nights. Without being obtrusive Ariane was readily available to help if needed. We had issues with TV and Foxtel but that is more of an Island thing than being specific to Forrester Court. In any event Norfolk is not about TV! The property is about a 7 or 8 minute drive to both the township and Kingston historical area but getting anywhere on Norfolk isn't a problem with a car, which is included in the tariff by the way. We did the High Tea on Sunday which was very good. A lovely week celebrating my 80th.
